Yes it would.
Most people either overestimate or underestimate their "drunk threshold".
Tapai are perceived not to be intoxicating/memabukkan because of the relatively slow absorption due to consumption with solid food (the pulut/ubi). This would also kinda limit how much one can consume (who the fuck would want to eat a pint worth of tapai?).

🙋 love me tapais. i could eat a bucket. hehehe.

i hate beer too. but tapai... 😍 and don't see any similar properties in taste, unless
you're talking about bloatedness after consumption. 🤔

Yes! Alcohol is everywhere... So I choose to follow the scholars that said  "purpose of certain stuff"
*
Yeah, but then again, that argument stops being true when you actually get drunk from eating tapai. Just like it's haram for people getting high from legit painkillers

The fact that smoking is bad for health is actually quite new "knowledge".. promoted by Western medicine.. because (the way I see it) they don't know how to help folks with lung cancer or respiratory infections and diseases..

I mean.. from my observation (as I have never really tried it before..) smoking helps with the smokers' inhalation system..... And helps their thinking and responses... AND plenty of people smoked their entire life BUT lived to a ripe old age.....

I really REALLY feel that there's just too many rules for the Musl*ms in our country to lead a more relaxed life lah.....

Yeah you're right. Damn this Western medicine for prolonging lifespan and eradicating diseases.

It helps with inhalation system? This is new. Of my many years of research in deep lung drug delivery, tonight's the night that's going to change the direction of my research

Might as well throw a spanner to this centrifuge while I'm at it
