QJmoto SRV250 -china bike but so far havent hear alot of complaints or issue yet, price is affordable
GPX legend250 II -thai bike with some mostly recognize issue but price is cheaper abit
LC 135 -cheapest but not suitable for long distance ride
*
how you intend to use this bike?

daily transport?
or just a weekend bike for santai ride?

if daily mode of transport, i will advice you to go to jap bikes.

I think about 20k can also find used z650 that has abs which is a much much better bike

but to be honest your range of bike choice is too wide. don't know what you actually want
a cruiser? classic naked? moped?

Big bike are not frugal on fuel. It's on par with myvi and axia. Same CC bike and car the car always win on fuel that is including running the ac. Also as any engine, the more you push your engine more fuel it gulps. My 115 ego running 90kmj is much more thirsty than my 200cc pulsar at 90kmj.

If you tour on your bike, the only saving you got is the tol. Maybe a bit of time if you need to go thru traffic jam unless you need to rest your sore butt every 2 hours.
*
Not really. My bike has the instantaneous FC readout.
At 120kmh it's around 4.3l/100km or 23km/l
At 90kmh it's at 3.25l/100km, about 30km/l
My current average FC reading is 4.6l/100km, daily ride through traffic, sprinting on green light and 130-140 highway run.

I have a myvi and my average in that is 6l/100km or 16km/l
That FC has been years like that.

I sometimes do long distance tour on the bike and it's more comfortable and less tiring compared to my pickup truck and mpv.

sad case bit, my lesen is B2 small so aim for 250cc first to decide if i really like to ride big bike or not, cruiser is look nice but not much choice due to 250cc choice in market

so for retro feel, can look abit like cruiser or old design was thinking on gpx legend 250II or qjmoto srv250, cause jap bike really dun offer any for this range, yamaha xsr155, honda ct125 is not available at here, i go to PJ big wing they dont accept order for CRF250 rally (3X k otr)

just pick the one you like and prepare for any troubles it may come
if no trouble, then just ride and follow maintenance schedule

it's not that hard

I'm getting. 18km/l on a yaris at 120 constant. 20km/L at 110. Go figure

Well we have the aerodynamics of a barn door. Plus I'm running risers...so I sit almost bolt upright. Yeah..so FC isn't much to shout about.  I think the big bike with the best fuel economy will be the nc750x. That bike sips fuel.

That's due to BSH. But I know some grey importers have brought them in. They are not popular here because of the crazy prices asked for them....for what are middle price range commuter bikes.

To be honest, it's a bit boring, weighty and underpowered. Its not for everyone. Those that appreciate it, know what they got. Cockroach reliability and excellent fuel economy.

I have a friend with an NC750 DCT with nearly 300,000km on the clock and basically have ridden all over southeast Asia. The only engine part he replaced was the water pump.

yeah my bike range from 17.6km/l to 18km/l during every ride from the meter reading.
official website says fuel consumption is 20km/l though  laugh.gif

I've tried riding 'very careful' and it only got me 19km/l
*
Lebih kurang only with my 1000cc. My usual daily ride is around 17km/l, if more highway and legal speeds can get almost 20km/l average. Then my last spirited ride with mostly 1st and 2nd gear it dropped to 14.x km/l laugh.gif

QUOTE(lowpro @ Oct 25 2023, 09:17 AM)
I think there is a slight difference. Those who ride for their daily commute will be more concerned about fuel consumption while those who ride solely for fun, seldom query the FC.
*
I ride mine daily and to have fun also, so I get to have fun every morning laugh.gif

Yeah the retro 250 scene by the japs isn't so hot at the moment. Most of them focusing on supersport style with the r15, r25, cbr250rr and regular nakeds Z250, mt15/25. Pretty much only Honda has the Cb250r but it's a single cylinder and slightly low on output though of you're just riding daily this shouldn't be too big of a issue. Only problem with Honda is getting stock, and because of stock starvation, used bike prices are pretty high.

the meter being that far out... thatll mean the aftermarket windshields will be straight up instead of an angle...
