QUOTE(Jjuggler @ Dec 22 2017, 11:32 PM) I disable the usb sharing, print server. Thats all. Some say by disabling SPI Firewall, the cpu load will be less. I personally test it and find that, it is same as I jump into a sea full of sharks. The performance of the router when spi disabled were slightly better. I turn off the led's so that the router don't overheat (although i put a cooling fan). will do that. i dont have a cooling fan. do u mean that small fan powered via usb? turning off the led lights is the option in system parameters right??? enable night mode?? how to set its off permanently? The only thing I like in c1200 is, the wireless performance and we can turn off the led's. For such router for the price, i can say okay. If and only if c1200 have a stable firmware. hopefully they come out with a more stable firmware soon! |

Don't hold your breath. There is newer versions of the C1200 out already, and the problematic version is v1, so doesn't look like they will bother with v1.hopefully they come out with a more stable firmware soon! |

I see. I invest rm80 to buy cooler for my router. I turn off the led so that it looks nice moreover, the led's are not blinking. Hahaha. hopefully they come out with a more stable firmware soon! just ordered Mikrotik RB750Gr3 Gigabit router. Can't wait to test the router. Most of the reviewers who had used and still using the router, giving out colorful reviews for this router.

Hehe I bought this. You can turn off your router led by looking at your web admin interface of your router. As marked in the picture below. If you using Malaysian firmware (blue), you can click at the led icon to turn the led's off. [attachmentid=9458926] UPDATE, I wont be using C1200 anymore. Upgrading to better router. |

QUOTE(rhytion @ Dec 26 2017, 08:22 PM) Seems like someone is trying to build LEDE for C1200, maybe some sifu here can give him some help? First, it is broadcom = now broadcom is really anti open-source and only its proprietary firmware/blob can make use of the SOC true capability.https://forum.lede-project.org/t/build-for-...-ac1200/2547/14 Second, 16Mb of flash storage is really cutting it close. Conclusion = give it up. |

QUOTE(Mr.7 @ Dec 27 2017, 03:01 PM) I bought this. A perfect router for me. The page loads faster better than my previous asus and tplink router. This router like a beast for such price. The router is for those who don't need wireless in their home. This is a solid router for those who wish to use internet via ethernet cable. However, you can set up another cheap router to broadcast the wireless signal (bridging) if you wish to do so. However, the process to set up ppoe quite long since you have to carefully setting it up and its quite complicated for novice users. compared to other routers, I take approx. 2 - 3 minutes to set up the router. QUOTE(playoff90 @ Nov 30 2017, 03:27 PM) May i ask for suggestion staying at a 5000 sq feet place… currently using TPLINK AC1750… half of the place couldnt get any wifi. Honestly speaking, I think the extender is crap! I got one in my bedroom upstairs and my router is downstairs! The signal strength show full bar on my iPad but turtle speed! My hse is about 5300sq ft! I also, think the router supplied by tm is crap! It took more than 5 mins to start up! Knn....my previous streamyx router was better than this!Would like to ask does wifi extender affect the speed? Would prefer to have full speed as i would like to stream HD videos. Thank you. Also there will be at least 8 users as well. or should just get a power router. Btw, each room upstairs got ethernet port as well. Need suggestion for it. Usually just use wifi and now need to google all this as just shifted place. |

QUOTE(matt_rix @ Dec 25 2017, 04:06 PM) same. i am using unifi for less than 1 month and it has been giving me problems every 12-24 hours. a reboot is required. problem is when after 12 hours some devices will not be able to connect to wifi but some can. those can if you disconnect the wifi and try join sure cannot already. a reboot is required. i flashed the firmware to AU version but still same. i noticed the cpu is always super high like 90% on avg which is not good at all. tm already replaced it once for me and still same problem. going to ask them for a different model is possible like c5. |
