Hi bro, another question is that should disable the ipv6 for the tplink router?read from forum, seems like its quite troublesome when its being enabled.
*
Some forumers says disable the spi firewall might reduce the cpu load. I've tried that as well. It doesn't change that much. So it is better for you to not turn off the spi firewall.

So just disabling ipv6 will do then, any other thing to be disabled which can reduce troublesome matter?

USB sharing, print server. disable all this. This might reduce the load to the cpu although it doesn't improve much. But better.

Bro, if I were you, I would just get a new router for now. I don’t even bother complaining anymore as they won’t do anything unfortunately. You can ask them for the DLink DIR850L, as they are issuing that as well.

Altneratively, just update the firmware of the C1200 to the EU version as most people seem to say it is more stable.
*
Hi All, good news for those using the Junk TP-Link C1200 UK V1 router, you can go to TP-Link Australia page, look for this firmware
Archer C1200(EU)_V1_170616
Published Date: 2017-06-16
It works and stable. Previously i tried the UK latest firmware, HyppTV not working, now i use this firmware, just select Bolehland-Unifi, put in username and password.

So far so good.

tbh, I flashed my c1200 to aus firmware to avoid the "suffix @unifi" thing. The boot time does improve by 2% ONLY. Yesterday when I was having free time, i updated the firmware of the router to the latest version of aus firmware (before this using an older version of the firmware of aus). I must say, after upgrade, the situation even gets worse. Hahaha. It takes long time to connect to the internet. i guess around 6 minutes. The cpu load shoots to 100% and when I download torrent or using IDM, they are not responding to the server (takes around 1 to 2 minute) before they actually starts to download.
*
thats what im getting. for me its just the cpu load. maybe ill try to change my router at tm then. flash back to tm shitty firmware. lol. hows your wireless coverage on the n55?

Connection wise, the router performs the best atleast better than the tm's firmware. No dc for about week. Let me give a secret, buy a cheap cooling fan and put under the router. Because heat will cause the router to perform badly. Just flash your router to the EU version (Australia). Do not update to the Archer C1200(EU)_V1_170706 firmware. It contains more bug. Just flash your router to Archer C1200(EU)_V1_170616 firmware. It is stable. Wireless performance, simply the best. Even better than archer C7.

**UPDATE
I update the firmware to the latest version of EU (Australia) - not stable, boot up time up to 6 minutes and downgrade back to the V1_170616.

Wireless coverage for n56u average only. So i sell it already. Currently looking for a replacement router. But running the router in padavan is the best.

You can change it by using custom profile. By doing so, you able to set the vlan id for the respective ports. And makesure you tick 802.1Q tag. There you go. For time being, im quite lazy to change to the custom profile since plugging in any lan not a problem for me. I wont use hypptv so, yeah. biggrin.gif

You can do as in the image attached for the custom profile.

Haha. Finger crossed bro. I heard, the price for the archer c7 drops significantly for v4. When i look at lazada, cheapest one 385 from the trust-able seller.

Hi Bros, just to clarify one more thing before i made my last decision to change my c1200 to c5v2,the unstable wifi to me is high ping (reached 3000+) sometimes while i download or watch youtube (normally will recover by itself after some time or need to keep refresh until its stable), during the period when its fine, then download speed will reach 3-3.6 MBytes/s at most.Im using Unifi 30Mbps. Is this the unstable wifi bros meant?

Currently using the C1200 as an AP only (not router). Seems to perform quite OK at both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.

Router: Mikrotik RB2011UAS-2HnD
AP: TP-Link C1200 v1

Bro, what do you mean? You can update to noip or dyndns on the ‘Advanced’, then ‘Network’, then ‘Dynamic DNS’. You can make your settings there.
