Any tips to get approve when register maybank 2 gold card because my two friends they tried to apply this card and get rejected

Anyone who upgraded from Gold to Plat got their Gold terminated? That day all my BT was automatically transfered to the Plat. Then yesterday, my Spotify auto debit on my Gold was declined.

Auto-debit you have to arrange yourself because card no. is different.

But shouldn't be my old card is still active? Maybank told me that since I've the Plat they deactivate my Gold.

I thought I can hold both until I cancel it myself

I did the transaction during 22 April mid night 2AM (Saturday) and received MSOS Code stated 22/04/2017 as well, but when I check via maybank2u just now, it showed my transaction was on 21 April (Friday) which not entitle for cash back... by the way, it is Traveloka app transaction for flight/hotel booking

Any chance that I can email them the prove and dispute?

i still hold both gold/plat card and both still active, the CS told me that its up to me if i want to maintain or cancel the gold card.
but i think its better to cancel it to give space for other card from different bank ? the ccris report will show all the 4 cards

CCRIS will show the total limit of your facilities.

Does not matter if you have 10 cards from the same bank but they all share the same limit.

Haiz.... should i write an official email to Maybank & cc BNM to tell them kinda pointless have maybank 2 card... the Amex basically is useless majority of merchant not accept amex anymore, today i buy book at Boarders they reject , lunch at Ben's Reject Amex , buy clothe at padini reject... sigh....

wow even at Ben's they dont accept amex? well padini, h&m dont accept amex i know that.

I guess most of the amex users here can blame you should maybank cancel back mbb2?

Btw, accept amex or not is merchant's decision. If you don't like it, you are welcomed to use other bank's visa/master instead of saying something stupid like complaint to bnm and mbb. And useless? You tahu guna ke?

Went to Sushi King last Friday. There's a notice on the counter saying they no longer accept AmEx too. Sucks, but gotta live with it. At least petrol stations and most bills can still be covered using AmEx with 5% rebate, so it's still worth it to have AmEx which is within most people's financial qualification.

So far my ratio of using Amex to Visa for the past 2+ years is 2.5:1, so still well worth it for me

Bnm will be very busy entertaining people like you.
Try to find out and understand the process and procedures fiest before complaining to anyone and let others laugh at you. This will help you to not waste other people's resources too (bnm, mbb etc)

AMEX Card will no longer be accepted in all Sushi King outlets effectively from 1st February 2017.

It's up to the merchant on what they want to accept. If the merchant wants the place to be cash only, they can do as they like. Can you write to complain on that?

I have no problem using Amex card at Aeon, Parkson, Isetan, Giant, Guardian, Watsons, Caring, 11 street, and so on. If the merchant doesn't accept Amex, then l just use Visa or Mastercard.

For me, Amex is the priority card to use.

next time before buying anything ask cashier if they accept amex. if not then say i'll come back when you accept amex. tq and bye bye

then slowly the retailer realize more people wan use amex and get amex as their cc vendor

Basically it's whether they want to enable the terminal to accept Amex or not only....

If got demand, maybe they'll consider.

But most places I go to still accept Amex.
