Very difficult to revoke the policy when the guy who came up with it is the EVP of Petronas now. He must loathed to eat crow now ....

One of the most ridiculuos policy in petronas will be revoked. Alhamdulillah. My friends melompat2 seronok last nite, when this very pic of the document went viral. Thank God the new HR's VP takes into consideration of what people are feeling/ saying about this bullshit, implemented by her predecessor which I believe is a complete idiot.

Ps: Bro Azraeil, he's one of the EVPs right now? The other 3 seemed highly unlikely to be such a person, let alone the COO who looks like a down-to-earth person to me. Is it the 'whitehead'?

Well my brother will be happy as well (though I'm not) coz his girlfriend is also a Petronas scholar. I teased him that he can't work with Petronas then because of the policy .... now cannot say that lah. And I so wish he would boraden his horizon a bit .... high-school girlfriend is so passe'.

Well now he can also usha those CDU/CPDD girls .... heh heh heh ... jahat punya abang ....

As I mentioned in my older post, the HR is the culprit in disseminating rumours especially about increments and bonuses. They seem to think that this kind of activity will retain staff when the opposite is true.

I'm sure that you can request for a transfer back to KL but then again, you will need to prove to headquarters that the experience you gained in the plant can be used in other OPUs.

thank you bro... ive got advice and opinion from my collegue also lots of people in industry...they all give me the same answer like you...go for the small company... but sometimes my heart is not too sure when other people which are not in industry push me to go to petronas (GF, Future in-law, school friends who work in banking, relative etcc)...

"you will regret ar if not choose petronas""petronas is glamour la""you will be rich if you work with petronas lar"

this word make me rethink my decision...but surely tonight ive make my decision to go for the small company...Petronas is my dream company but this is the second time i've reject their offer... one after SPM for scholarship...and this is the second one... btw dream company sometimes cannot provide you with your dream job rite???

Hi All,

I recently got a job offer letter from Petronas Carigali for 3 years contract in Kuala Lumpur. My position is Senior Planning Engineer and the interview was held in September in Istanbul. Right now I am in the middle of a relocation process to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During the interview the HR told me that the recruitment process will take between 3-6 month because I am an expat engineer and they have to provide work visa for me!!

I have already submitted my medical tests by DHL to Petronas two weeks ago and still waiting to receive my contract and visa. For your information the SOFOMATION recruitment agency is responsible to provide candidates for opening job positions at Petronas. As I undrestood during the interview Petronas Carigalli is looking for 2000 qualified engineers with more than 10 years experience in different disciplines such as planning engineer,cost control, civil structure, drilling,mechanical engineer, Pipeline engineer,....

I really appreciate it if anyone provide me some info about the work environment of Petronas Carigali and other necessary informations.

i heard that there's alot of contract workers in petronas... and it's hard to get to prmanent. one of my fren says that there's one employee who work for 8 years and keep renewing her contract .
