What about the travelling cost to their leadership centre for the purpose of attending PIPE? Do we have to bear the expenses on our own by booking own flights/ buses etc?The food is awesome and enjoy your 2 weeks there! Also, in the offer letter, it states that we are required to "where application, obtain the necessary employment pass as required by Malaysian Governmental Authorities." What is this?? Is it directed to non-Malaysians who have no working permit?? Sorry for the noob questions. Inb4 call the HR and ask yourself This post has been edited by Kitteh: Oct 23 2012, 11:48 PM |

Yes, you have to bear the cost to go there. Also, in the offer letter, it states that we are required to "where application, obtain the necessary employment pass as required by Malaysian Governmental Authorities." What is this?? Is it directed to non-Malaysians who have no working permit?? Sorry for the noob questions. Inb4 call the HR and ask yourself This apply to West Malaysians who are acquired to work in East Malaysia as you need working permit for that. |

Hey guys,
I just got my internship offer at these two places: PCFK, Gurun and MALAKOFF, Prai at the end of this year. The HR for PCFK gurun told me that my allowance would only be Rm500 (instead of rm800, as u guys discuss about earlier). However, MALAKOFF, Prai agree to give a rm700 allowance to me. Can u guys share your opinion on this matter, in general, which one is a better offer? |

Help me on this.
I'm fresh graduate, convo last month. finished my SI early of this month and CBI last week. Got call from PCSB personnel mentioned that i passed both interview. She said that they are currently arranging available position 'anytime soon'. My questions are: 1. How long actually this 'anytime soon'? 2. It is compulsory for all new hired petronas worker to go for training? 3. Where expected working location for me? (junior executive, degree in chemical eng, Petronas Carigali) Still looking for job now, want to work but my friend suggested just wait for petronas, because it is hard to berhenti kerja when u get a job already. Please help me... |

QUOTE(pakciklebah @ Oct 25 2012, 12:07 PM) Help me on this. as others have mentioned countless times in this thread, the HR can be slower than a siput. Anytime soon can mean 1 week or 1 year. Read the whole thread for other people's experience.I'm fresh graduate, convo last month. finished my SI early of this month and CBI last week. Please help me... My personal advice is just start working with any suitable offers you get. Why is it hard to berhenti kerja when you're already working? As long as you fulfill your resignation notice you won't have any problem resigning. Your friend who gave you that advice, is he already working or just a fresh graduate too? I hate when people give advices when they have no experience in it. It's not hard to berhenti kerja when you're already working, it's only hard to go for other interviews. |

QUOTE(pakciklebah @ Oct 25 2012, 07:07 AM) Help me on this. Do not wait for something that you do not know the timeline. Grab any offers you have and once you get the official offer from PETRONAS and have completed all the requirements (medical checkup etc etc) and if you still want to join PETRONAS after all that, then tender your resignation according to the terms and conditions usually 1 month notice. Also tell PETRONAS that you will need the notice period before you can join then.I'm fresh graduate, convo last month. finished my SI early of this month and CBI last week. I eventually signed that offer and worked for a month plus before I tendered my resignation recently. The employers cannot stop you from resigning, as long as you fulfill the T&C. It is only true that it is hard to attend interviews when you have a job, but since you have already attended SI, there is anything to worry about except taking leave for medical check up. Just continue hunting for other jobs while waiting. Added on October 28, 2012, 11:41 amHey guys.. in the summary of benefits extracted from Executive Handbook sent to me along with my offer letter, it states that an executive who is based in East Malaysia will be paid a monthly EM allowance at 10% of his/ her basic salary. I am wondering does it also apply to East Malaysians who are working in EM? Or it is limited to those West Malaysians who relocate to EM?
