QUOTE(Rei7 @ Jul 5 2021, 06:43 PM) Games are not region locked. You can buy any physical games of any region and play on your switch account. The only issue is that DLC/Expansion are region locked but not for all games. Thanks for clearing things up... Example, lets say you have a US account and bought a physical game that is EU region. You can play the game no issue with your US account, but when you want to download the DLC/Expansion pack you might have to use a EU region account to download those dlc/expansion. Quick fix is just to have another account from another region, to download/purchase that dlc, and you can still get the content and play it on your US regional account no problem. Games bought from another account can be played in another account as well, as long as it's on the same console. As long as you aren't sharing your account with other people, there should not be a problem. Btw, what's with stories of ppl getting their Switches banned from Nintendo Online...? |

It is not banned from Nintendo Online also, the whole console would be banned from updated and whatsoever. The unit total dead. You only can play offline or do modchip hack after that. Remember only play original games from gamecard or buy digital from Nintendo Eshop only. Don't buy those dirt cheap digital games from shopee. One day your console will be banned. Some Nintendo Reload Card if get from illegal way in example very cheap than normal price, it can be purchased from stolen credit cards and Nintendo able to trace all the way ban you. Sifu,
If we buy the used console from others, could it be possible to be banned by Nintendo? how could we check that? Caused I doubt why most used unit sellers sell within a month, and never see the same happen to PS5 This post has been edited by officeBoy: Jul 6 2021, 05:34 PM |

Possible if they buy those dirt cheap games from Shopee. Nintendo system already got all records. It just matter of time Nintendo to act on it. No guarantee not ban from now on.
Nothing much you can check if the previous owner reset to factory settings. Only based on trust. Sell within a month may be to seller never thought of how "expensive" to buy games and in sudden need money urgently. But I think all just excuse. Lol QUOTE(officeBoy @ Jul 6 2021, 05:32 PM) |

QUOTE(officeBoy @ Jul 6 2021, 05:32 PM) Sifu, Penny wise, pound foolish. If we buy the used console from others, could it be possible to be banned by Nintendo? how could we check that? Caused I doubt why most used unit sellers sell within a month, and never see the same happen to PS5 As mention above, even if it is working fine now, you'll never know if the previous user has breach any Nintendo T&C or not. Maybe get banned 1 month later ? or 3 months ? or never at all ? That's the risk to take to save a hundred RM or two. Even buy from close friends or relatives. You'll never know. My advise: Just buy new from trusted sources for Nintendo Switch. This one really not play-play like other devices or mobile phones where there are patches/bootrom/workaround or partial ban on certain things only or even can pay to lift out from ban. No such thing for Nintendo Switch. Better not take risk. |

QUOTE(Eithanius @ Jul 6 2021, 10:28 AM) Thanks for clearing things up... Buying games from non authorize source. You can buy digital games from codes that input into eshop still that is no issue.. But the one that got banned are usually due to hacking, pirating, cheating, bullying, or saying anything offensive. But the main culprit why most are scared of banned in Malaysia is because most people want cheap games, so what do they do? Buy shared account from shady sellers. You can't buy shared account as it is against the ToSBtw, what's with stories of ppl getting their Switches banned from Nintendo Online...? |

QUOTE(Barricade @ Jul 6 2021, 09:08 PM) Noiceeeee. Not the “Pro” version that everyone’s been teasing, but it seems like a worthwhile upgrade. I have the NS v1, so I definitely will pick this up in October. |

This is bad news really .
Nintendo games have never ever been UI friendly . With all those static UI blasting up to max brightness , there is going to be A LOT of burn ins . They really should have at least , wait for the Switch Pro and integrate some kind of heatsink . This post has been edited by Convael: Jul 7 2021, 08:01 AM |

QUOTE(Barricade @ Jul 6 2021, 09:42 PM) Same la I also bought a week ago. But doesn’t make much difference for me cause I played it dock all the time. the dock came with LAN cable enhancement... but nobody caresthe upgraded speaker doesn't matter to me, as I using external devices even in handheld. the OLED wider screen is a big thing to me if I saw this when I was hesitating to buy, I would pull the trigger to buy sooner haha |

QUOTE(Daenthylin @ Jul 6 2021, 09:46 PM) Its not a topic , it is something that is bound to happen eventually .OLED are organic pixels , all organic pixels are ever changing . As long as they retain this nature , burn in is always a concern . This is especially worrying on Nintendo's side , because they never provide options for games to adjust /hide brightness on static UI altogether . So a slightly bigger OLED screen plus 64GB internal storage. Those are the only two differences between the new and old models, right?
