holy priests can never beat a lock.. period

pve sometime feel hand itchy want kill some Ally but is PVE tat sux

BG killing ally on a same area not good as pvp outdoor.

PVP FTW !! I can't think of WOW without pvping. There is no "kick" if you can't pvp.

ohh yeah... with Felguard & Antena dog I can't, holy priest die to anything melee. but I always win succy girl/ imp /no pet (demonic sacrificed I guess) lock. coz nub lock's dot dot fear dot dot charm dot dot shadow bolt tactic won't work.

Have you pvp with a holy priest seems unkillable before? I means in 1v1.

warlocks r flexible in pvp...
so far in 1 on 1 fight... locks r considered 1 of de best...

it depends who he's fighting...
but seriously... demonology locks r friggin hard 2 kill...

when melee fighters come in... succubus will help 2 do de job...

against someone like priest & mage... use felhunter...

de rest... felguard...

I dunno how you guys tahan playing healer-specced classes in PVP servers unless you always got geng around you to watch your back.

/salute you man, you healing types saved my backside many times, especially against those ppl too clueless to attack the healers and keep whacking away at the tank with 13k life.

I second this, unless the lock is drunk or is experiencing serious lag issues. IMO, lock seriously wins all except BM hunters. My afflic lock wins almost all duels with non twinks non hunters post lv40. I have 2 instant fear/howl. Cases where I lost the duel is against of course BM spec hunters. All they need to do is make their pets big and red and it's GG. Against fire mages who managed to sheep and 2 shot me. Against UD rogues who resisted/break fear and stun locked like no tomorrow. All others is fear dot dot and GG. Against warriors in berserker mode = CoE dot dot run around and wait until they drop.

Were you wearing a lot of shadow resist gears when playing against a lock? Or else I have no idea how a holy priest can win against a lock.

Reading some of the replies here clarifies why some, not all, PvP'ers get such a bad rep

And why a lot of PvP servers are always marked as "Low" population

It was basically a lvl64 hunter being taken down by a lvl38 warlock. It was hilarious and his build are an embarrassment. He had points distributed evenly between the 3 talent tress.

Hmm... ok... let say in bg u met a holy priest, how long it took you to kill one assuming he is full mana?? i mean ofcourse equal gear. I'm a Alliance Priest I pvp horde most of the time (horde is considered the better pvper in general right? so I'm not playing with Drunk/lag lock ALL THE TIME).

my secret to beat all mana usage class?? even hunter... except melee mana user i.e. enchantment shammy and even warlock (if he bring out Antena Dog and Fel Guard then most of the time GG for me).

1- Shield, Renew on me
2- Shadow word: Pain
3- Mana Burn if against healer
or
4- Step in Melee (using a 2H staff) for non-healer
5- Hit fear when timer is up. Gheal to full Health recast renew/shield

I'm sure you have a holy priest on your server, If the way they pvp is Holyfire + Smite then is GG for him, but try to ask him to self heal and see if you can dot dot fear kill him, I'm sure by the time u oom he still have 30% of his mana and as the deminishing return of fear and charm, your next fear and charm will only affect him 2~3sec. if you are afflict lock? I'm not worried, with succy? I'm not worried... I'm just affraid you have fel puppy/guard. cause your dot dot fear won't work on a priest. Try it, but don't whine in Offical forum to nerf priest pls

However against warrior/rogue/cat is 100% gg for me.

OK, let's say you have fear ward. But I have Death coil and howl of teror, which are NOT fears. As a BE, I have an AOE silence too. Say I don't use fear coz you will resist all fears that I cast due to fear ward, then I cast howl of terror when you first try to heal yourself, shadow bolt, renew dots cast death coil when you try to heal 2nd time (by this time you should be dead already). Bear in mind that all this time my succubus is pounding on you. Say if you're still alive and still try to heal, I use the BE AOE silence skill. I believe that all this can happen within 30 seconds so all you can do is fear me once but I have the trinket. Say you're STILL alive, succubus can always charm. Thing here is not about how long I get to fear you but I fear to INTERRUPT your self heal. But of course if against 1 vs 1 duel with a caster, I'll always get my fel pup out. Although, against a mage, most of the time my holy priest get to outheal his/her mana.

If you're not a dwarf then fear dot dot fear bye bye. Would love to know how my holy priest can win a lock.

also, unless ur shadowbolt is ruin/imp sb proc enabled having nightfall/backlash proc back to back crits, ur not gonna 2-3 shot priests like you do pre-bc with SM/conflag build locks used to do. and so long they get as much as ONE second, they can heal the crap outta you. dont forget, stamina cost is reduced and priests have a ton more survivability than you.

they're mana DEFINATELY can outlast you. the only offset is mana drain on priest, but if the priest spec a wee bit in shadows for silence, ur done.

the only warlock that has an ABSOLUTE chance to gurantee kill healing/holy priests in any situation is UA specced locks with felhunter out, any other spec/setting locks just dont have that capability.

but yea, this is holy priest, wait till the priest walks the dark path... kek!

first rule of a warlock in pvp, never use shadowbolt unless it procs of nightfall or ur a seduce nuker

i walk with a felhunter for pvp ALWAYS!

usually the normal scenario is, Priest runs close for scream...
at that moment use ur pet silence, get your own fear out... place all dots (ua, corr, agony, siphon life), spell-eat, drain life etc...
ua and corr ticks of 450 isn't anything to laugh at...
if they dispel refresh the dots, and if they so happen to dispel ua.. just watch them die

Added on March 20, 2007, 9:38 amurmm no... u haven't actually seen what a seduce nuker can actually do these days... 6k soul fire crits, 3k shadowfury, that's not even counting the immo inci conflags yet....

and eversince drakedog introduced the death coil/soulfire combo, lots of ppl has been goin destro/dm for the increase in dmg...

and destro locks eats shadow priests for breakfast easy mode
