They are very slow on giving us back our money.
Not considering to have IBFT in future via CIMB. Maybank better. 😂

I was wondering why they don't waive instantly on the spot.

Not cross border chargers. Should be charging foreign currency bank fees, I think it more than 2%. Like I purchase taobao using this card before, like around 2.2%.

For those CIMB Cash Rebate Platinum MasterCard Credit Card holders with negative outstanding balance (due to cashback), you can call CIMB CS to transfer the negative balance to your CIMB Savings account.

For sure, you have to very insistent during your conservation with CIMB CS. Otherwise, CIMB CS discourages the transfer, and says that negative outstanding balance will be used to offset the future purchases charged to the credit card. Yeah right, we definitely will not use the credit card anymore, since 5% online cashback is abolished by CIMB. bangwall.gif

Less than a week, you should see the amount being credited into your CIMB Savings account, without any service fee incurred. smile.gif

If this is the case, you can spend small amount of money in 'others' category (0.2%) and offset the cash rebates you earned on previous month. The 0.2% cash rebate received for this month can served as a tip for CIMB Bank. biggrin.gif

Can I call to cancel the credit card if there's outstanding balance in the card? Or I have to pay up all the outstanding before calling?

I strongly believe they'll ask you to clear the outstanding first.
