Guys, does cimb open up a new credit card account for you and sends a card to your home without asking you first? I already have a cimb petronas cc for a year plus now. Open my mailbox and saw a letter from cimb with a cash rebate platinum mc inside. why would you do this withous asking if im interested or not  bangwall.gif

It's normal practice for cimb.
If you are unsatisfied kindly lodge complaint to BNM with detailed information.

From my experience before they send u new card they will inform u through email n sms.. u gt the option to reject n if u didn't respond then they will proceed to send the card to u..

I would like to find out if CIMB World Elite rewards Bonus points as well as Miles points. The website indicates the card provides Miles points but not the Bonus Points. Anyone mind to share?

Bonus miles can be used for bonus point point to point
But 1 bonus mile = rm4
But 1 bonus point = rm 1

I believe the correction should be you don't have to pay the outstanding if anything happens to you.
But you need to pay for the coverage premium.

If your card have ending balance, then they will charge the premium times the balance accordingly. Although not big amount. But i don't think so it needed if you pay statement balance in full monthly.

Meaning if pay statement balance fully no need to pay for premium?

No, it calculated on your statement date. The premium charged on your statement date. (or next day of your statement date). Means once you have statement balance on that month, will get charge accordingly. So unless you are not swiping that card, then no charge lo. sweat.gif

Their CC not longer interested by public hence come out with this plan to get some money from their customers. Instead of offering insurance thingy, why not offer better cash rebates to their customer?

banks have been offering this "oustanding insurance", nothing is new about it.

whether card benefits is good or bad, has nothing to do with the insurance.
