Hello guys, i have just applied and got approved of this CIMB platinum cash back credit card. As this is my first credit card, i am wondering will i be charged interest for every transaction i made with this card? hmm.gif

What is the difference between using this card and the debit card apart from the cashback rebate and other benefits??

No interest will be charged unless you don't pay on time or not full payment.

Significant difference is you use now and pay later.
*
So if i pay full on each statement date, it is safe to say it will be just like a debit card?

Thanks for the input, Fruitie! smile.gif

Yes, pay on time, pay full and don't use it to withdraw cash then you are good to go. Welcome to CC world. tongue.gif
By the way, you just need to pay the amount stated in your statement before due date.

Thanks ! So glad to finally have my own credit card 😂

And as for the online shopping 5% cashback and 2% grocery stall cashback, may i know where can i find the list of approved stalls/vendors??

You have do it manually with your statement; either from Statement History or from e-statement (to your email or when available from CIMBCllcks).
*
How to request for it?? When i click e-statement i get a message saying that the statement is not available doh.gif

just sign up with paypal malaysia and add your credit card to it, during lazada checkout select paypal option
i would think to avoid this issue just use paypal option as above  thumbup.gif

Guys, for the CIMB Cash rebate CC, 2% rebate for petrol is it combined with our online purchase and capped at RM30 per month??

Or is the 2% petrol rebate not included in the RM30 capped per statement on online purchases?

same answer to pbb quantum.

RM30 cb per card per month, irrespective to number of categories.

this is why u need to monitor ALL your spending vs categories, if you intend to maximize cb across various categories.

Aww doh.gif Ok thanks for the clarification!

QUOTE(donhue @ Aug 24 2017, 11:28 AM)
CIMB Cash Rebate works a bit differently than Quantum..

Quantum's is simpler that there's RM 30 cash back cap for both categories..

CIMB Cash Rebate has a cap of RM 50 for the categories that earn 2 - 5% CB (E-Commerce, Petrol, Groceries, Standing Instructions), but there is a sub-limit of RM 30 for E-Commerce. There is no cap for 0.2% CB that you get from other categories, and 10% CB on finance charges.

For example, if you spend RM 1000 on Lazada, and RM 100 on petrol, you will get RM 32 CB (RM 30 from E-Commerce, RM 2 from petrol). If you spend RM 100 on Lazada and RM 1000 on petrol, you will get RM 25 (RM 5 from E-Commerce, RM 20 from petrol).
