QUOTE(Tellmeyourstory @ Jun 29 2017, 03:33 PM) Not sure if this is covered, but is it safe to say that we will get the 5% cash rebate so long the payment gateway is ipay88, e-GHL, jompay? No not safe to assume that way.I believe CIMB picks up certain keyword from the merchant name that will appear in your statement as well. Example, paying telco bill for webe, if you pay through webe's website via iPay88, the merchant name that will appear will be iPay88*webedigital (something like this) and CIMB's system will pick that up and not give the 5% since this is under mobile bill payment. |

Cashback credited after statement got generated. Question is have to pay statement amount or I can minus out the cashback? Noticed that CIMB does not consider the credit of cashback as "payment" unlike Maybank.
Example: Statement amount = 2000 Cashback = 50 credited after statement So to pay full RM2000 or just RM1950 will do? |

QUOTE(wjleong15 @ Jul 1 2017, 08:53 PM) fruitie In the past 2 months I received 3 auto cl increased via sms citi ambank and cimb strange... is it because of approved pb housing loan? QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 1 2017, 09:07 PM) Not sure. I hope they don't increase for me, buat susah me to call to refuse it. Auto? I thought their SMS is usually a consent and have to reply if agree to the CL increase? At least that's what I experienced with Citi.I will have housing loan next time and see if that helps. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Jul 5 2017, 01:40 PM) I can accept those gray area items to be excluded but those obvious online transactions like Lazada and Taobao also kena. Exactly, when there are too many criteria/keyword/MCC and more for their system to detect and filter out for eligibility of online cashback, legit ones might mistakenly be excluded. |

QUOTE(aiishiteru @ Aug 29 2017, 11:38 AM) May I know how did you guys apply for the Cash Rebate Platinum card i.e. through agent, banks or online? I've done the online application but was rejected right off after sending them the documents. CS refused to tell me the reason for rejection. My monthly salary is definitely more than RM24,000.00 per year. Anyone can enlighten me on this? Or is there any person from bank or agent who knows about this? Thank you. QUOTE(SzeMeng76 @ Aug 29 2017, 11:59 AM) Thru online. 2nd attempt only approved. Normally bank wont disclose reason, but you roughly know it when you check your CCRIS report. I applied online for almost 5 times before I got the approval. I resubmit my application every 2-3 months until one fine day I received the card at my registered address (was not informed of the approval).Either no credit history / bad in CCRIS / high DSR commitment. You just try it after 3 months. |

QUOTE(boonhan @ Oct 17 2017, 12:01 PM) ya lo.. somemore not online Since this Cash Rebate card does not have AF, I guess still can keep it but perhaps reduce the CL and apply for other cards that offers better benefit.but cimb got pros also, better exchange rate when u spend in other currency (if u compared to visa) and grocery and petrol back up card. |

QUOTE(christcwl9 @ Oct 29 2017, 04:46 PM) Guys, my last statement was RM 2600, after cash rebate of RM 30, i paid in full RM 2570 (thinking everything was fine). It's always best to just pay the statement balance, the cashback you earned use it to knock off your new statement's balance. Then today when i received my October statement, i saw a financial charge of RM 29!!!! I called Customer service and argued, why was this as i paid in full but they replied because i didnt pay full as in statement balance? THen i calculate for them, i am paying short of rm30 and got a rm29 financial charge?! Thats almost 100% interest |

QUOTE(hyelbaine @ Nov 15 2017, 11:53 AM) Morning everyone, My dad received this as well. I guess it’s another “campaign” being done by CIMB.I was "selected" to be offered a pre-approved CIMB WORLD Mastercard after receiving SMS about it and having it appear in my CIMBClicks a couple of days later. Was wondering if it's worth the hassle as I'm more than happy with my CIMB cashback card. What think? |
