QUOTE(deanitro @ May 3 2017, 01:14 AM) im in dilemma. dont know want to appl either cimb cash rebate or maybank ikhwan. cannot apply both, max can have 2 Ccs only. lol in terms of merchant and easy payment, 0% plan, i belive maybank win. but cash rebate on weekend only while cimb everyday. help mee. to be honest, i never really swipe on weekdays. Which is why i always think Maybank is more superior. EDIT: and also, merchants i frequently visit accepts amex. no complaint. This post has been edited by adele123: May 3 2017, 08:15 AM

So, I wanted to call in to cancel my credit card. The customer service guy offered me rm15 but need to spend rm200. Doesn't seems like bad deal.

QUOTE(David83 @ May 7 2017, 11:45 PM) Don't know. CS said submitted request but subject to approval. I think reduce is easier than increase as increase CL requires submitting income proving documents. it was quite fast for me, about 1-2 working days, checked my cimbclicks later on to see it reduced.

QUOTE(David83 @ May 14 2017, 10:17 AM) With the exclusion of government related transaction for CB eligibility, this thread starts to decline. The online part of cimb cash rebate card is always abit annoying with the cross border transaction fee. Got worse when they increase to 1%. But the 2% grocery is still kinda useful, beats uob one or citi cash back because not subject to specific merchant. It is still not a bad card as supp card has separate cash back limit.

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 17 2017, 10:08 PM) Yes, Grab has cash back now. Just like previously which used to entitle for cash back. Anyway, it has 1% border charges fees, I still stick to my YOLO and AmEx for Grab. If you look at grab transactions of that screenshot, it is written petaling jaya for grab, so no cross border fee. And grab was previously no cashback, means TS can update to eligible now. QUOTE(eeeglow24 @ May 18 2017, 03:18 AM) hi what do you mean by 1% border charges fees, from my GRAB statement, all amount that been charged to my credit card is same as the grab receipt. let say I took a ride for RM7, it charged my card RM7 too. unlike Uber, what's been charged to my card is different from what appears on my receipt. 1% extra charge appears on my cc statement for Uber. That's why I have stop using my credit card for UBER ride. I'm using my debit card only for Uber starting early this month. You can search for that cross border transaction thread in this section you will know why. Yes, uber still have it but grab doesn't.

QUOTE(fruitie @ May 18 2017, 08:47 AM) Oh good to know that Grab has no border charges. It was already updated in eligible list not long ago. Might not want to be happy about grab and cross border charges yet... I have about 12 grab transactions in the 2nd half of april (based on uob transaction). Based on transaction date, 13th april, it's grab sg. 14-28th april, it's grab petaling jaya. 28th i have a 3rd transaction, it was grab sg... wondering what's the pattern now.

QUOTE(imnotabot @ Jun 1 2017, 04:02 PM) For Agoda, if it says "Pay nothing until...", does this means pay later, and it's only eligible for 0.2% cash back? Or pay later is referring to the case where you book online and pay at the hotel? How does the "Pay nothing until..." works anyway? Your credit card will be automatically billed after the specified date? Yes, it is in reference to the agoda - pay later on that website. Yes for the pay nothing until xxx, yes your credit card will be automatically billed on the specified date. Tried once with another cc, very on time. QUOTE(Jeffreynsx @ Jun 3 2017, 04:37 PM) The more you practice it, the more chance you get into their warning list. Sooner or later you can say bye bye to your car, house or personal loan applications. Btw, I kena finance charge 2 times. I called in to waive. The funny point is, sometines i get charged, sometimes I dont. And I always pay outstanding balance for cimb. I called in to waive twice. Haah. Without hassle. Fyi: ccris should only see late payment. And outstanding balance, but not the fact that I kena finance charge.

QUOTE(eeeglow24 @ Jun 8 2017, 06:44 AM) hi, are we allowed to carry forward the cash rebate for next month statement. Let say we got rm30 rebate for month 1, then we didn't use it to offset payment for month 2 statement, will it be carry forward? and if let say, I didn't use it to offset month 2 statement and in month 2 I got another rm30 cash rebate. Will it appear as rm60 rebate in month 3? Thanks. Appreciate assistance here. You asked a cute question. Which just means you are new. The month1 cash rebate will straight away offset the month2 balance. It's a credit to your acct. It's not like you get vouchers, collect the vouchers, buy something bigger. Not something you choose. Wait for your statement next month and you will understand

I didn't get 5% rebate for the transaction below. it's on some website, and they uses paypal as the 'gateway'. I seriously should cancel this card.

Just to update. I think there's no problem with paypal. According to the CS, apparently my transaction was tagged under online insurance, hence i got 0.2%. Anyway, i'm still appealing as it is NOT online insurance. Hence be careful with untested website. www.imaxx2u.com.my

CS called me this afternoon, and told me the bank will credit back the 4.8% cash rebate. looks like issues solved, but seriously think one should either avoid untested website or migrate to public bank or uob... though seems like public bank has similar problem for those using for lazada.
