Don't think I've tested with PBB VS but with HLB Wise it's not under dining category. One way is to reload RM10 and call CS to determine the MCC.
*
correct, as last time i tried Starbucks Pyramid was using MCC 5499 and not eligible for VS' Dining cashback.

they have mostly migrated to different mcc for some time now, so i just avoid using any cc with them.

to be safe, just reload online to starbucks card. less headache laugh.gif

if i want to use cc at coffee outlet, just go to CBTL instead. they're using MCC 5814, eligible for VS' Dining Cashback. plus, better taste laugh.gif

separate, to each respective card. if you got both Quantum cards + VS, that's total 3 cards.

where do u intend to transfer from?

again, diff bank, diff behavior. not all designed the same.

ok, since you got VS and Quantum cards, definitely you got PBe account right? with PBB Savings Account?

Do this to save the IBG fees. Just one-time RM0.11 fee. biggrin.gif

1) transfer from RHB --> PBB SA. that's a one-time RM0.11 IBG fee.
2) register all your PBB cards as Favourite Cards, including all your PBB supp cards too (if any).
3) make a PBB Card Payment to your PBB cards, including your PBB supp cards too. it will transfer from your PBB SA without any fee. payment will be reflected immediately in all cards.

Hi all,

Have been searching the forum but am still confused on how cashback on utilities works for PB VS

1. There is no mention of SYABAS in post #4, so do we get cashback if we pay SYABAS via uobpayonline or shopee?

2. For the recent 6x / 10x swipe campaign, the t&c states that all utilities transactions are excluded and not counted; but some have reported that transactions via uobpayonline for SYABAS are counted for the campaign. So which is true

3. Is it true that the only way to have TNB transactions counted in the swipe campaign is to pay through shopee ?

Thanks to advise
*
1) it's there wat in Post #4, grouped under UOBPayonline.
2) in previous promos, uobpayonline + syabas, not eligible because it was showing "SYABAS" in the description. few months back, uobpayonline + syabas didnt display the "SYABAS" word, screenshot as below. so, since previous promo 5x/8x swipe campaign, uobpayonline + syabas = eligible due to the description change. else, go for shopee also can.

user posted image

3) yes, seems to be the safer alternative if you're targeting for the swipe campaign. PBB only see the transaction description as "SHOPEE", not "TNB or TENAGA NASIONAL BERHAD"

E-commerce marketplace Shopee to monetise platform, starting with paid ads

KUALA LUMPUR: E-commerce marketplace Shopee, which plans to start monetising its platform by introducing paid ads this year, wants to be the “Alibaba of Southeast Asia” and become Southeast Asia’s mobile commerce destination of choice.

...

“Monetising is not rocket science. Typically, there are three ways to monetise on e-commerce platforms, which are via listing fees, commissions and paid ads. These are some of the monetisation models that we’re considering and we plan to roll out something along the lines of paid ads this year,” Ho told SunBiz in an interview recently.

...

Ho said Shopee is free to use and does not charge any listing fee or commission. It offers free shipping up to 5kg for items over RM30 in Peninsular Malaysia.

Just open savings account in PBB, transfer once and transfer another round when the funds officially credited into the Savings Account.

Sometimes have to just bear that rm0.33 or rm0.22.

The cash rebate is the benefit. The 0.11 is the price to pay.

Opening savings acct, putting money in which cannot be taken out or getting charged for the debit card with rm8.48, etc. Let it be la.

For PBB, I IBG once to my principal card, call CS to request to split that lump sum payment to pay off my 3 supp cards. Cost rm0.11 assuming the call is free. smile.gif

Ya.. that would apply for normal savings account.. according to BNM regulation, every bank will now need to offer a basic savings account.. these will not have annual fee for the debit card, but have other limitations, like a maximum number of free ATM withdrawals per month, or that over the counter transactions will be charged.. I have 4 savings accounts with different banks, and have never been charged for the debit cards.. biggrin.gif

Don't cancel your credit limit (Petron), apply for additional cards. 3 cards share same credit limit and you get 5 categories (incl Petrol @ Petron) for cash rebate.
