PBB Quantum's classification of categories

1. Dining:
Eating places & restaurants (exclude hotel)
Bars, cocktail lounges & discotheques
Fast food restaurants

2. Entertainment:
Motion picture theaters
Dance hall, studios & schools
Theatrical ticket agencies
Orchestras
Bowling
Sports clubs
Amusement parks

3. Departmental stores
Parkson
Metrojaya

4. Any online transaction (ecommerce), exclude transaction via www.pbebank.com.

5. Exclusion:
Casino and petrol transactions, cash advances, balance transfer, transactions at Tunku Abdul Rahman University and Tunku Abdul Rahman University College campus, government related payments, payments to charity and payments via www.pbebank.com and ATM.

i wonder what merchants they categorised as Departmental and Entertainment. Departmental should be those Parkson, Aeon Store and etc which are different with groceries under MCC 5411. But how about entertainment?

The T&C and product disclosure was too brief.. may be really need to try out first then only know?

Should try based on the categories and update on first page after getting CB.

Seems like the Quantum Visa only useful to me for Parkson and Cinemas (must purchase at counter i think, coz online and apps would have to use Qunatum Mastercard for the CB).

yeah just realise the visa isnt very useful. Just call up the customer service, seems they always giving it in bundle?

If you have registered previously for another PBB card, then it should be auto-tracked under your name. But don't take my words for it, best to clarify with CS on their system.

yep, checking in PBe is fastest i always check in PBe whenever applying cards.

here's mine today, the cards weren't listed yesterday. didnt receive sms approval at all. applied 23 March.

Such irony giving CB for online transactions but online payment service is not ready/available

can I know what is the minimum threshold we can request for sms notification for all transactions?
coz the minimum amount is rm500 in the form.

Just realised that payment thru myTNB portal or apps can no longer be any amount but the outstanding balance. No under/over payment allowed.

For those of you who have already received their new Quantum cards, did the two cards come together inside one envelope?

I was approved for both cards (as seen in PBeBank) but I only received the Mastercard yesterday.

Any knows whether I can get cashback for online payment for insurance if I use the Quantum Mastercard?   

AIA got online portal ah, which im using to pay my policy monthly (not auto-billing)
Public Bank website says "online transactions" but did not exclude insurance nor clearly spell out what's excluded anyway so I'm a little confused
