They did accept RM but the rate is very very low compare to Msia.
As per advice on the first page, CHANGE to USD in Msia and then CHANGE USD to NT, u definately wil earn more.
One thing to make sure is the USD note u change shud be year 2005  onward note ELSE u will be charge additional fees.

"Window On China" got 2 interesting shows; Taiwanese Folk Art Theater Face Changing 09:30/11:00/13:40 and European Castle Stage Funny Clowns 11:30/13:30
check out www.woc.com.tw.

Nothing really interesting there except the Doraemon park, the only one in the world i heard.
You can reach there by taking train to Chungli then transfer to Hsinchu Bus (directly across the road from Chungli Railway Station) to go directly to Window on China
or
By MRT: Taipei Main Station > Jingan ~14min then
TaiLien’s E-go (Taiwan United) Buses Fare: NT$120 (one-way) NT$236 (return) ~ 1hr"

Well I follow the first route but unfortunately the timetable does not fit the bus schedule so I take taxi frm the ChungLi station to there ~ NT500. Chungli a nice shopping town too, ask the taxi driver to bring u to eat the famous beef noodles in town, u won't regret it NT90/bowl
*
Thanks for the info cybersim2.

For those who wanna visit Window On China to see the Doraemon Theme Park, please do so within 2010 because the staff of WOC told me that after January 2011, it will be removed. notworthy.gif

i guess i will start planning liao.

guys, wanna ask.. for hualien rite.. the minsu rite... there's the Ms Liu Stone house and Ms Liu roseland. A lot forum praise the stone house, also got blogs giving bad experience with the stone house. Apparently stone house is far from market/food (coz it's seaside), while the roseland is very near to city and market. I'd like to ask is this true ah? this is just my rough assumption base on what i've read.

If given a choice between these 2, which 1 is better ah? and why ah ?

thanks a lot !!

Thank for your reply,
Can you suggest some good plus reasonable in price hotel for me,
most of the 3 * hotel recommended on the 1st post was more then RM250 per room.

Am looking for something around RM200 maximum, or this budget is not possible.

Please Advice, Thank you.

AA promo ticket to Taiwan can't be so expensive! I remembered only RM300++ to RM500 nia!. Their avg economy tiocket should be ~ RM800.
Mas cheapest was RM780. RM1000 ticket normally for those last minute booking & price almost similar to MAS liao.

No need airport transfer-lah get the bus ticket to Taipei main staion..I used Go airbus o something..Only NT$90/pax. Unless AA airport trf cheaper than NT$90/pax or NT$180/pax/return?? By Taxi to Taipei, I got quoted a NT$1200..I asked him to fly kite & got shouted bck...chisss

End of June be prepared for 35C temperature liao..haha..just like M'sia recent CNY time..Anyway..so many ppl already ask what temperature SO I hv posted on pg 1 liao smile.gif

Currency xchange I already explained >9999 times liao...malas liao..chk 1st pg & do your own calculation biggrin.gif If you dun believe me..just a simple Math..unless you failed your math??- Well i almost failed too but still able to differentiate the diff! biggrin.gif

Hotel - no idea..I only know Taipei Hostel - simple place to sleep only & shared topilet which is clean & not scary. smile.gif NT$600/room nia.. biggrin.gif
