Eva Air and China Airlines using A330 can get around that price sometimes too, even when we buy it like one week before.
I will never fly MAS to Taiwan.. as I usually only buy the tickets like 3 or 4 days before, MAS is already terribly expensive then.

Weather is getting warmer, just reached KL today.
Just hope it won't rain, else it is such a hassle to get around.

If you have checked in on-line, you can reach 1:30 hours before.
If not, better reach at least 2 hours before.

Hi, Im going to taiwan mid of may this year with a large group of frens, for those who can read chinese, this is the itenary that they planned:

Is this itenary fine?...about half of my group consists of girls so they plan to stay at taipei longer so they can shop...but im a guy and i prefer sight seeing than being in the city.

So what are places that are recommended throughout my 10 days in taiwan? Im thinking of hualien and also hiking a mountain if there's the time...I might be breaking out from the group for a few days. I'd hope to rent a motorbike and travel around, anyone did that before? thx smile.gif

if u wanna go hualian, what i can suggest is stay 1 night in 清境 on 14/5 then next morning u can go 合歡山 c sunrise, after that go 太鲁阁 National Park, is like 4-5 hours drive then spend 2D1N night in hualian. the thing is the road from Hehuanshan to Hualian is abit dangerous but the view is gorgeous.
then on the 16/5 u can take the late evening train from Hualian back to Taipei and meet up with ur friends.
The if u wanna do more hiking, u can go 阳明山 (take MRT to 士林 or 剑潭 station there got bus to 阳明山)~

Hi, I'm giving away 1 pack of FREE REDtone SIPhony015 international call forwarding service to Taiwan.

The service is about diverting all your voice calls bound for your Malaysian phone number to any Taiwan mobile number when you are in Taiwan. You no longer need to off the phone or not answering incoming calls because of expensive roaming charges.
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1586311&hl=

Terms and conditions
1) FREE usage of REDtone SIPhony 015 international call forwarding service
2) FREE airtime minutes up to 90min.
3) User to provide a local Taiwan mobile phone number for call divert destination number. Taiwan sim card can be easily available at the Taoyuan airport upon arrival.
4) User must make sure that his telco call divert service feature is activated.
5) Priority is given to user with no less than 5 incoming calls a day and the earliest departure date.

FAQ
1) Do I have to pay and is there any hidden changers ?
Absolutely nothing. But diverting voice call to SIPhony015 may incur telco chargers ranging from 10sen to 15sen per min depending on your call plan.

2) What will happen if my FREE airtime minutes fully utilised while I'm still in Taiwan ?
Just un-divert and revert back to standard roaming service provided by your telco.

3) How much can I save ?
Maxis is charging RM3 per min block for receiving roaming call in Taiwan whereas I'm giving you approximately 90min free receiving calls.

5) Can I share the free airtime minutes with my traveling partner ?
Yes. Just make sure that your partner's phone is a Maxis or Celcom postpaid and call divert service is activated.

4) How to grab the deal ?
Call me OI2*3I7O33eight

Hi people. I have some question about travelling to Taiwan.

I am wondering how long should I be there. For 8, 9 or 10 days? Is it sufficient to see most of the attraction in Taiwan? I would like to spend most of the time in Taipei. =)

And is there any guesthouse rate less than RM120?

Your help is appreciated. Thanks in advance! =)

On 1st pg, I hv listed the budget guesthouse dy..I stayed in Taipei Hostel. RM30/pax/nite..no need till RM120.
