Would appreciate so much for the feedback! Thanks in advance!

When I went there last week, USD100 only can convert to TWD2990 or something.

u mean from money changer in airport? is it the same rate with Bank of Taiwan or better rate? I check Bank of Taiwan exchange rate, now is only USD100 to TWD2950, worst rate... hopefully USD goes up tomorrow coz i already change all my money to USD... going to change in their airport on Saturday. Think the rate on Saturday will be the same with Friday, right? coz Saturday banks are not working...

If you compare the rate , i think it is more worth it if you change myr to tw. i have a friend just came back from tw and they change 1 myr = 10tw. but i am also not  sure whether to change it in m'sia 1st or when u reach taiwan. many advice me to change here 1st.  smile.gif
you sure the rate is 1 myr to 10 tw?
i have changed all my money to usd and the rate is 3.048...
i check Bank of Taiwan, now they are buying USD at 29.015...
so 1 myr only about 9.52tw .... not a good rate, right?

Wah which money changer offering such a good rate? As far as I know, the best also ~ 10.70. If really RM1 to NT$10..than yes pls do so in m'sia. becos even Bank negara also selling at ~ 10.28 now.. biggrin.gif

If at RM10.70, changing to USD & thereafter to NT$ WILL save you RM32 for each RM1000 you change based on my rough calculation...If RM30 fro every RM1000, is OK, not need so mahfan to change to US$ 1st.. smile.gif

Stimix, may i know which rates are you referring?

Is it RM3.03 to USD 1 and USD 1 to TWD29.01, and RM10.70 to TWD100? coz if i use these 2 rates, we can save about RM23 only for each RM1,000.00 ... Can i check with you whether the money exchange in Taoyuan airport have better rate than Bank of Taiwan rate? TQ.

back from Taiwan, Colormix is a homestay and not hotel so please do not expect services like hotel. We stayed 4 nights in Colormix and 2 nights in TS Hotel. If you compare, TS's location, service and facility is much more better. but the price is double of Colormix. 1 thing not good about colormix is that it is in an old building, so the sewerage system is not so good and you cannot throw your toilet paper into the toilet bowl, please throw the toilet paper into the dustbin in the toilet.... this is so incovenient...

i would recommend Ta Shun Hotel (TS Hotel), very near to MRT, Ximending exit 1, turn left when you come out from there. walk about 2 minutes, you can see the hotel. cross the road and you reach already. friendly hotel people, helpful (we borrow tape and weighing machine from them), safe, shower spa, room with carpet is just too good coz the floor is so cold ... one night is TWD2380 for deluxe room....

weather is Taiwan now is very cold... 10-15c... different from what the weather forecast indicate.... i thought it is just like Genting... no, it is much more cooler than Genting... esp. Jiufen... raining and the wind make it worse....
