Hi, i am actually planning to go Taipei this year or next year. What i need to know is how much i need to spend per person for a free & easy trip? As Taipei is easy just like KL so i think Free & easy is a very good way. maybe some cheap & nice hotel recommendation, food, places to visit...etc. I need advise from people who have been to taipei free & easy recently thank you
Thanks in advance. Appreciate it This post has been edited by iPlx: Mar 3 2011, 03:18 PM |

I check Bank of Taiwan exchange rate, now is only USD100 to TWD2950, worst rate... hopefully USD goes up tomorrow coz i already change all my money to USD... going to change in their airport on Saturday. If you compare the rate , i think it is more worth it if you change myr to tw. i have a friend just came back from tw and they change 1 myr = 10tw. but i am also not sure whether to change it in m'sia 1st or when u reach taiwan. many advice me to change here 1st. Wah which money changer offering such a good rate? As far as I know, the best also ~ 10.70. If really RM1 to NT$10..than yes pls do so in m'sia. becos even Bank negara also selling at ~ 10.28 now..
If at RM10.70, changing to USD & thereafter to NT$ WILL save you RM32 for each RM1000 you change based on my rough calculation...If RM30 fro every RM1000, is OK, not need so mahfan to change to US$ 1st.. QUOTE(mcdd @ Mar 4 2011, 11:52 AM) |

Is it RM3.03 to USD 1 and USD 1 to TWD29.01, and RM10.70 to TWD100? coz if i use these 2 rates, we can save about RM23 only for each RM1,000.00 ... Can i check with you whether the money exchange in Taoyuan airport have better rate than Bank of Taiwan rate? TQ. |

Wah after Yesterday, NT$ suddenly surged against US$..now only 28..985 -cash buying rate ata Taoyuan airport - 9Almsot all having similar rate...probably controlled?? as all money changers in taiwan are banks & not private)
Let say 1st scenario..you change 100% to NT$ in M'sia so based on the latest Wawasda, of 10.68, you get only NT$9,363 If you change to US$ 1st @3.03, you get US$330, Thereafter at Taoyuen, You change to NT$ for 28.985 = NT9,565 -NT$30 = NT$9535 as Today so you get xtra NT$172.....Hmnnn meaning US$ also badly traded TODAy!! resulted in small margin of RM17 nia..haha (Yesterday better rate at NT$29.1+ Likedat it's up to you whether to change 1st..depending on the xchange rate..sometime tha gap even Yesterday & Today so much different..
