based on the specs, c1200 n c5, mostly likely the same with some few diff like power input etc.., c1200 is newer.
other than that, do u know any other diffs , eg like stability etc.

Well, I am a C1200 user here and I find it's very unstable...

I didnt own c1200 so cant tell. But my friend using in his shop. I always lepak at his shop also. No internet issues. Works fine.

seem got few diff:
chipset, power-suppyl, no of antennas, no of usb ports.

im surveying for new dual band router. seem this c1200 is good enough but dont know about the stability.

If from vip10 upgraded to adv30 then the surprise to adv50 entitled also? mine is the silver box one.

When I got the speed upgrade (from 30 to 50) i speedtest all got 50mbps and above but dload still stuck at 30mbps. Already using IDM as far back when I register vip10 because back then have problem with dload speed also. The tech came until he dunno what to do he installed IDM and then i got my vip10 dload speed.

upgrade from vip10 to adv30 no problem before in terms of dload speed and all that.

well, for me theres no big difference in real world test.

Either C5 or c1200 both also good router. What matter is the $$$ haha

I didn't upgrade but I install new line back in February.

They give me DLink DIR850L

So I can request for another one ?

I often gets freezes when I have heavy media streaming at home over LAN network.
I need to powercycle the router in order to get back to internet access.

CPU load frequently hits 100%.
Torrents needs to adjust the peer, if not, you will get this problem also.

If u are not happy, u can call them and ask for a change. U can change to new one within warranty period which is one year. Only the ONU/BTU is lifetime.

TpLink USB feature suck. Other than that all good hehe

Even without any USB devices connected to the router, it still sucks...
Firmware need to update.
Raise ticket to tp-link.

If never change yes u are entitled to a new equipment. U can ask to change everything. Modem, Router, STB and phone. When u upgraded, means u are signing a new/extended contract.

Vip10 - download 10 upload 10
Adv30 - download 30 upload 10
Adv50 - download 50 upload 20
UnifiPro - download 100 upload 50

But isnt the free upgrade (30 to 50) comes with no contract extension?

if u meant the vip10 to adv30 already quite some time ago, still can?

Even one laptop cooler is not enough for the btu to cool down. I feel tm should provide free cooling fan inside every newer btu.

Free upgrade comes with no contract extension.

If more than a year, cannot change for free.
But if u extend contract, u can change for free.

Another upgrade done today. 30 to 50mbps.

Helped a friend get upgraded. Jalan ipoh KL area

My friend's Unifi, Bukit Jalil area, down last month due to external cable problem. Took TM 1 week to get it back up.
28/4 Fri: Unifi down, reported to 100. TM called on the same day. Arranged to come on 2/5 Tues.
2/5 Tues: TM came to check. Determined external cable problem. But say they can't fix it. Have to escalate to next level's team.
3/5: Nothing
4/5: Called 100 to check
5/5: TM called to arrange appointment for the next day.
6/5 Sat: TM came afternoon and fixed the problem.

What do you think? Good enough? I wonder why the first team couldn't fix the problem.
