Repeater cuts half of ur speed. Plus not very stable.

Pull cable or use powerline works better but of course cable 100% fullspeed compared with powerline

previously i bought aztech repeater , somehow sometimes the connection on and off , it just like internet disconnecting for few second then back to normal ... i decided not to use the repeater and bought good router for better signal , now no problem

The ID and password is stored on the router. HG8240W is the modem. It differs from router to router.

I suggest you call CS or use web chat, faster that way.

Yep, this is ok for a budget option. Just remember to update to the latest Malaysian firmware.

if u buy new router, u can use your old router as an access point vice versa.

for normal internet usage, tplink c5 are more than enough. i dont think u need extra features right? then u dont need an Asus.
*
Yup TP-link c5 is the best ever budget wifi router, that I have used before. Very stable and good.

Unifi connectivity to SEA server is decent enough, any VPN is counter-intuitive.

Personally, I am using TP-Link Archer C7 (own router). Bought it for rm499 at challenger. Before this, i am using asus rt-n14uhp router for 3 years before it went kaput. Haha. Testing the tplink router for time being before switch back to asus in future. so give a try on a affordable router before you opt for a costly router that values your money.

Except for DOTA2. At peak hour (as report and tested with friend) the in game latency will spike to over 100 ms. I directed DOTA2 traffic to use a Singapore VPN and when friend reporting issue over 100 ms, I check mine that were on VPN still at 21 ms. We both using UniFi biz 100Mbps.

VPN are some time useful but not all the case. You result maybe vary.

Best regard.

anyone experienced noisy phone line for unifi voip phone before?

symptoms: caller of incoming call to my unifi voip cannot hear anything from my side. whereas i can hear them over the phone. also, can hear static noise when i pick up the phone (during dial tone).

wondering how unifi, using digital signals can have static noise, unless something wrong with BTU unsure.gif

i tried rebooting power for both BTU and router then line will be back to normal. so far happened to me twice. still the same after trying with two different TM supplied cordless phone. using alcatel BTU and tplink c5 on Adv50 FTTH.
