Yeah, with i3 and PSU, no SSD and 8GB RAM.

Core i3-8100 - 455
Gigabyte B360M-D3H - 399
Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 - 337
Zotac GTX 1070 Ti 8GB DDR5 AMP! - 2279
WD Blue or Seagate 1TB _ 173
Corsair VS 550W - 229
Corsair Spec case - 279

RM4151 total (C-Zone prices)

i5 will need 4.5k
*
Hmm, no SSD is a bummer as I'm sure it should be the staple for any gaming PC now. If I'm able to stretch 4.5, what would be the suggestion?

For CPU, i5-8500 at RM785. For SSD, WD Blue 250GB M.2 at RM347.

Hi all, previously I had asked about upgrade in this thread and decided to upgrade but hold back until now.

I have look around and decided on these specs :-

CPU - Ryzen 7 2700x
Mobo - x470 itx
Ram - trident z

But my problem now is I can't find a x470 itx mobo, eyeing Asus x470i but can't find it anywhere. It seems the market only have asrock and Asus x470 itx board.

Do you guys know where can I find Asus x470i motherboard? Or better suggestion/opinion. Thanks

You have to wait. Maybe B450 but it isn't launched yet. If you can't wait, Asrock AB350 Fatality Gaming ITX/ac or X370 version. They are readily available but make sure BIOS is updated.

Hi All,

Is it possible to squeeze a 1070Ti in 4-4.3k budget?
*
Following the posted prices by both Tristan and Kristal, you could fit a 1080 inside your build if you choose. It would be faster than the 1070 ti you wanted.

Here is a build from Etech and KoolPC lelong

CPU: CORE I5 8400 (6C/6T) 692 - easyit2u
MOBO: Asrock B360M Pro4 323 - easyit2u / ATX Pro4 - 365
RAM: CRUCIAL D4 PC2400 CL17 8GB 351 - koolpc (closest is Kingston HyperX 2133 Cl14 which is slightly faster than the Crucial 358 - easyit2u. A 2400/ above at lower CL number would be ideal)
GPU: Zotac 1080 Mini 2246 - koolpc
HDD: Western Blue 155 - koolpc (170 easyit2u/ 159 western digital lazada)
PSU: Superflower Silver 301 - easyit2u
CASE: Cooler Master Masterbox E500L 179 easyit2u
Total: 4254 excluding shipping

A suggestion to get a lower price for a set is to buy everything except the GPU from Etech to get those set bonuses. KoolPC has a 2% discount if you deal with them directly instead of lelong so you could bring the GPU price lower (according to their lelong page)

Dear all,
Can suggest a rig for the following:

RM4,000~RM5,000

Purpose: VR, for demo purpose of a simple game

Main concern is GPU only, GTX 1060
The rest should be minimal as long as can support basic to medium level of VR gaming.
No need peripherals.

Chasis, the smaller the better for space saving, easier manage.

H310 or B360 mobos will be good enough for G5400. 16GB ram will be overkill for that processor so 8GB will suffice.
*
For H310 motherboard any suggestions?
RAM 1X8GB or 2X4GB prefer?

The cooler is not necessary since the one come with the processor is good enough
As for the PSU, the super flower i guess?
Ya, the flare X is the one to go
I think so? smile.gif

Motherboard: The ultra gaming is the same board but with less features and less RGB than the gaming 5. It is cheaper. You can opt for MSI Carbon Pro which has better VRM components for overclocking or top up for a Asus Strix which is better than both. You can also go for x370 boards for AMD since they just need a BIOS update. Ask the shop to help you.

GPU: GTX 1080 are in the same price bracket so you should opt for those instead. If you want silence, get one with dual fans since they run cooler and thus produce less noise.

Ram: Flare X is good enough.

SSD: Get the 860 Evo instead since they cost almost the same but the 860 uses MLC which is better.

Case: You can opt for the Bequiet cases. The trade off is that they are quieter but don't have as much flexibility as the R5; less water-cooling support or HDD/ SSD slots.

PSU: Superflower is good option.

Cooler: You can look at Bequiet Dark Rock Pro 3 too. It is quieter but loses to about 1-2 degrees on temperature.

Dear sifu,

This is my current mobo Gigabyte B150M-D3H (D4) and gpu gtx950 from zotac. What gpu I can max out on this mobo? This gpu can't eally keep up with some new game I wanna play. Not even low setting. Is RX480 a good choice?

Thanks

It's not the motherboard that restricts the GPU but the processor. What processor do you have? Also what ram do you have because it might be low ram too?

Overall, if you need a new GPU, what is your budget and what games do you play that is graphically intense?
