Hi guys. I have a budget around RM2000 to build a brand new PC. What I'm using now is Pentium G3220, 4GB or RAM. I will use my new PC only for playing games using Bluestacks. I play on my current PC but not very smooth.

So I hope you can give me list just for cpu, ram, ssd, gpu if possible, and others. Don't need a monitor or mouse/keyboard. I already have the extra.

Try looking for second hand i5 or i7 Haswell (LGA 1150), another 4GB RAM, GTX 1050 and Samsung 850 Evo for the SSD. All of that should fit your 2k budget.
*
What I meant by "new" is I want to build a whole new PC. So I will have 2 PCs after this. My current with Pentium and my new 2K PC. I want new cpu, gpu, and others. I hope you can help me smile.gif

I see. Just trying to save you money using existing motherboard. Tight budget for a good setup on new PC.

How about these?

Pentium G4560 (like i3. 2C 4T)  - 249
Asus H110M-K - 279
Corsair 8GB DDR4-2133 x1 - 254
Gigabyte GTX 1050 2GB DDR5 - 599
Samsung 850 Evo 120GB - 286
Corsair VS 450W - 184
Tecware F3 case - 124

RM1975 total (C-Zone prices)
*
This PC I want to use mainly for gaming on Bluestacks, so I'm not really sure which is to focus more, cpu or on gpu side.
How about an i5 with lesser gpu? Because it is Bluestacks.. And again, I am not really sure.
I think 8gb of ram is good for the setup. I can stretch a bit the budget if necessary, I can save more. I have the exact 2k now, so..

I see. You can remove graphic card and swap the CPU to i5-7500 at RM896. Total 2023.

System requirement of Bluestacks did not mention anything about CPU or GPU.
*
Thank you. Many said Bluestacks is using more of CPU and RAM, and a little bit of GPU power.

Hi guys. I wanna build a new PC.

My budget is 4K.
My purpose is Photoshop and video rendering (Adobe Premiere Pro).
I don't play game at all. So you can focus only on photo editing and video rendering. So if it doesn't need strong gpu, don't need to suggest the high-end gpu. If needs more RAM, include those, like that, that's all.

Please include also an SSD for me to put Windows and softwares. Don't need it big. I really won't do anything in this PC except for those two softwares. I have other PC (my current PC, which I'm currently using for typing this biggrin.gif ) for other purposes.
I don't need monitor, keyboard and mouse cuz I already bought them.

Thanks in advance for helping.. smile.gif

MSI GT 710 1GB DDR3 - 170
Samsung 850 Evo 250GB - 487
WD Blue or Seagate 1TB - 210

Guys guys, my friend asked me this..

He wanted to build a Ryzen 5 buid with 32GB of RAM. What he wanted to know, is it better to use 4x8GB or 2x16GB RAM ? Before he asked that, I just assumed that there's no different, becuz 32 is 32, nothing else matters.. That's my understanding.. LOL..

16GB X2 better but check motherboard compatibilty from their website first. No difference performance wise.

QUOTE(Winstech @ Sep 22 2017, 09:16 PM)
no difference for 4x8Gb and 2x16GB.
but i would recommend u to go for 2x16gb as future proof
*
Thanks. I already told him. He decided to do 2x16 of RAM. Maybe he'll put another 32GB in the future.
IDK what for, but he's weird like that, with RAM, LOL biggrin.gif Although he just play games, from what I know of.
For me, it's better with more CPU cores than more RAM. Love to see the cores and show my task manager to my friends.. Hehe..
Thanks for AMD I can experience the task manager full of cores.. smile.gif

Hello guys. I wanna know about something.
Is the gpu pricing rises to high end cards only?
I wanna buy a new PC, but with low end cards, just to run something like adobe premiere PRO and bluestacks..
I still don't know what's right for my hardwares..

Hello guys. Im planning to get a new PC mainly for Adobe Premiere Pro works. My budget is 2K. I already have monitor, mouse and keyboard.. I don't mind AMD or Intel.. Price over performance is preferable..
Thanks..

Pretty sure Adobe Premiere Pro is very demanding piece of software, you might need to bump up that budget to 3k+ to get a decent rig.
This is just my suggestion, I'm no sifu on this matter, real sifu here can probably show you a cheaper and better option.

AMD Ryzen 5 1600 - 690
Asrock AB350 Pro 4 - 349
Crucial 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4-2400 - 696
Gigabyte GTX 1050 TI 4GB DDR5 OC - 688
WD Blue 250GB M.2 - 328
Seagate BarraCuda 1TB 3.5 - 148
Corsair VS450 - 137
Tecware Nexus - 179

Total: RM3215

You can try getting only one RAM stick first and slowly upgrade later, so you can get the rig now for around RM2867.

Thannk.I know Premiere is really a demanding software for cpu. My works usually consist of 5-10 minutes video a file. Any other suggestion?

Guys. Just curious. Between i7 8700 and ryzen 7 2700, which is better in terms of:
1, Performance in workstation stuff like Adobe Premiere and others, if I dont plan to OC and want to use stock cooler
2, Total cost overall when we include mobo and stuff
3, Future proof, or upgradability..

1. Adobe Premiere favors Intel currently due to IGP hardware acceleration (Intel only feature). Refer to the three links below.
(12 mins video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7wOBGmxyBEs
(10 mins video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ofdh-THQFpE
(25 mins video): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tj6rUdhmIvQ
TLDW; get the 8700 if you're extensively using your rig for rendering on Adobe Premiere.
I'm not too sure about cooling the 8700 with the stock cooler though but since it comes along with the CPU, might as well try it first. If it gets toasty, opt for an air cooling solution or AIO coolers.

2. If you're talking about the price of a complete rig, maybe around RM4000-6000 for a good one? Idk.

3. Well it's a desktop rig, upgradability is always an option. You are future proofing with the newest gen of CPU though, so you're set there.

Thanks so much about the info about igpu on intel. Really didn't know that. So now I'm gonna go for Intel cpu for my workstation. I'm gonna tweak here and there for other hardwares.

Guys. If someone wanna build a pc, base on editing programs. Between Intel 8400 and ryzen 2600 which is a cheaper overall build considering..
1, 8gb or ram
2, mobo, wont oc on the cpu
3, psu, must be gtx 1060 6gb ready..
6, gpu, dont need it for now, but still need it for ryzen2600 right?

I wanna see a build thats cheapear between the two, and the gpu will be added in the future.. i wanna see the price different between mobo and considering the ryzen 2600 needs a gpu, iinm..

Personally I'd go with Ryzen:
Ryzen 2600x - 909 - Shopee
Gigabyte X470 Aorus Ultra Gaming - 600 - Lelong
G.SKILL Trident Z 3000MHz RGB DDR4 Single Channel 8GB - 409 - Shopee
Corsair TX650M - 360 - Lelong
Tecware Nexus - 175 - Shopee
Total - 2453

Get the 2600x if you don't plan to overclock, the 2600x also comes with a better stock cooler than the 2600
If you ever plan to get another 8GB RAM, make sure you get the same one I listed above
Also, you can cut the cost even further by getting a B350 mobo instead, just need to make sure it supports the 2600x out of the box
The x470 is just for future-proofing + it supports the 2600x straight out of the box

Intel build:
Intel i5-8400 - 685 - Shopee
ASRock B360M PRO4 - 323 - Lelong
CORSAIR RAM Desktop DDR4 8GB PC2666 CMK8GX4M1A2666C16R RED - 388 - Lelong
Corsair TX650M - 360 - Lelong
Tecware Nexus M - 117 - Shopee
Total - 1873

Not much to say with this Intel build, its likely to perform worse in threaded tasks as compared to the Ryzen build I made above
*
With ryzen build, i still need a gpu for this to run right?
So we can build cheaper with Intel.. Really dont need a gpu, I'll add in the future, together with more ram.. It's really about cpu, and i won't oc on it.. So any mobo is no problem..

Guys.. I'm back..

With budget of rm4k, can i get a setup with ryzen 5 cpu and 32gb of of ram?
I don't have any reusable hardware, cuz this will be my 2nd pc.
My usage is mainly Photoshop, and Illustrator. My current PC always freezing up when exporting. It has 8gb ram, and igp. CPU is pentium G... something I guess..

Again, can i get a pc with 4k budget, with cpu of ryzen 5 and 32gb of ram.. including monitor, mouse, kb? Thanks all..

Hi guys and all sifus..

I have a budget of 3k for my pc.
Do you think i can have a pc that can run Cyberpunk?
i don't really need such a high graphic settings, just 1080p, with smooth fps.
I have my separate budget for monitor and peripherals.
