Is it possible to squeeze a 1070Ti in 4-4.3k budget?

Yeah, with i3 and PSU, no SSD and 8GB RAM.

Core i3-8100 - 455
Gigabyte B360M-D3H - 399
Crucial 8GB DDR4-2400 - 337
Zotac GTX 1070 Ti 8GB DDR5 AMP! - 2279
WD Blue or Seagate 1TB _ 173
Corsair VS 550W - 229
Corsair Spec case - 279

RM4151 total (C-Zone prices)

i5 will need 4.5k
*
Hmm, no SSD is a bummer as I'm sure it should be the staple for any gaming PC now. If I'm able to stretch 4.5, what would be the suggestion?

Hello Sifus,

Is it a good time to build a pc now? are GC prices going down?

Also, if I have budget of 2.5k-3k (without GC), what build do you suggest?

Holding out on GC first cause thinking of getting the RTX or GTX 1080ti depending on the price.

Thanks!

Hi Guys,

I have a budget of 6k for gaming build. PC Only.

Idealtech quoted me below but I think I missed out on the Ryzen full capability due to the ram. I asked them caused i thought i could benefit from their free delivery to Sarawak and free wifi adapter.

How about Sifu's help? Any better suggestion?

Thanks in advance.

Idealtech

Also, any reason why MSI Armor over Gigabyte WF?

Oh okay. Last question, SX8200 pro or the Intel 760p better?
Will use NVME for OS.

Hi Guys,

I'm looking 2 get 2 PCs for just generic office use only. (Microsoft Office, AutoCount etc2). 500GB HDD will be enough. (probably will get 250GB ssd if budget permits).
Will need a 20" monitor as well.

Budget around 2.5k each (with monitor).

Thanks in advance!

Damn. 2.5k is kinda overkill huh. will probably swap to a 2200G and I would save more. Should be okay right? For the case, is there a more 'office' look case? Also, forgot to mention will require DVD drive.

Hi All,

Looking to add SSD in my current build.

Is the MX500 still the best price/performance for 500GB/1TB?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Guys,

What would be the best bang for the buck NVMe SSDs (1TB/2TB) now? is it still the SX8200 Pro?

Yes, you have to setup RAID 1 first before installing.

Stock cooler is very powerful. Unless you want slight bonus with the performance. You can go for Scythe Mugen 5 Rev. B at RM199.
Yes, SX8200 Pro is the fastest for the price. Transcend MTE220S is a bit slower but a lot more endurance.

If it's for gaming purposes only, I should go with the MTE220S I guess, right?

Hey guys,

Currently using 2600x with x470 board and paired with a 2070. Looking at upgrading to a 3080and Im sure my 2600x will bottleneck hard. Looking for 5600x but it seems impossible to find. Lol. Will a 3700x be enough?

Also, whats a good and reasonably priced b550/x570 board?

Hello All,

My cpu and mobo just got fried, not sure why :'l. 5900x and X570 Aurous Master. Sadge. Will try to RMA the cpu but in the meantime looking for replacement.

Current setup that will be reused :

32GB DDR4 RAM
RTX 2070
650W EVGA Supernova Gold+
360mm AIO
SSDs and all peripherals.

I'm also looking to upgrade my gpu to handle some light 4K gaming on my 4K TV and sell the 2070 and upgrade the gpu too.

Is RM6-7k for mobo, cpu, gpu and psu reasonable? Is it worth to ditch my ddr4 Rams and switch to am5?

*edit- forgot to add purpose*
Games like Cyberpunk 2077, Assasins Creed franchise, other AAA single player games, Path of Exile, CS2, Valorant etc2..
Would also like to try to have a stream capable setup if possible.

Thank you.

If change CPU & mobo you got 2 main choices; stick with AMD AM4 or go Intel DDR4

If you can RMA the CPU (& mobo), I suggest stick to AMD. Get a temp that you can resell/reuse later. Perhaps R 5600 + MSI B550-VDH mobo

If want all new AM4, 5800X3D + MSI X570 mobo

If sien of AMD then why not switchover to Intel? 14700K + MSI PRO Z790-P DDR4

Full switchover to DDR5 4K gaming system? Need about 8-9k at least since just about everything need to change.

To handle 4K gaming, need at least 4070TI / 7800XT (for 60FPS) to 4080 / 7900XT (100FPS above) + at least Atier 850W PSU

What if i keep my gpu and and psu, but switch to ddr5 parts (will save up up again to upgrade next year). What parts would you recommend? Is the upgrade to ddr5 now worth it? Personally, still would like to stick to AMD. biggrin.gif . But not sure if Intel is the way to go now?
