Sarawak, but it doesn't matter. Do you see 3200MHz or 3000MHz 4GBx2 kit on the market?
for certain brand, high speed low capacity ram doesn't exist.

That's fast. Is it possible if I just get i5-8400 and spend the balance for a 250GB SSD and CPU Cooler?
*
Maybe can change the nvme 960 ssd to a sata ssd
As for the cooler, the 8700 already include one with it

Forgot to mention that I'm doing some multimedia works (photography/videography), rendering etc. Should I just stay with a 250GB SSD and spend for extra HDDs?
*
If so then the 2700x suit u better
TristanX right?

Yeah but it will cost more. 8 cores 16 threads. It will give i7-8700 or 8700K thumping.
*
OC it a lil and its a beast for both your games and video rendering YAMiDAMi
Pair it with a good ram. FlareX/SniperX

Edit: It will hurt ur wallet tho

QUOTE(dynames07 @ Jun 5 2018, 03:28 PM)
Looking to freshen up my current build..

[Budget] - Max RM 7,000

[Purpose] - Gaming

[Hardwares that will be re-use] - Plextor 128GB, WD 1TB Blue, monitor, keyboard, mouse, speaker

[Monitor resolution] - 1440p GSYNC

[Games & softwares that use frequently] - Gaming purpose, watching movies

[Personal preferences]:
- to upgrade to single 1080ti (currently using 980ti)
- to upgrade PSU to full modular to better organize the unneeded power cables (currently using corsair GS600)
- to upgrade processor to something better (currently using i5-4690)
- to change mobo as well (currently using MSI B85M-G43)
- to change the casing with good cable management and airflow/cooling (currently using corsair 600T)
- to upgrade RAM to 16GB (currently using 2x4GB Kingston value ram)
- i don't do any overclocking
- i don't need any RGB or bling-bling stuff. the rig will be at the bottom of the table. people will only see the front side of the casing
Appreciate your suggestions. Thanks in advance!

Hello guys, I am in a dilemma on choosing between the two Intel H370 boards, to pair with an Intel i5-8400 CPU:
ASUS TUF H370 PRO GAMING and Gigabyte H370 AORUS GAMING 3

Can anyone please give some recommendations or comments, especially in terms like durability, BIOS usability and features?

Thanks a lot smile.gif

Go for b350. It should be suffice for the i5

You can ask discount from them and they do provide rig building services
But their price is considered lowest in town already
