Hi, dear shifus. Need your suggestions for building a gaming / simulations rig.

[Budget] RM3000 - RM3500

[Purpose] Mostly gaming / simulations

[Hardwares that will be re-use] None. Building a new one.

[Games & softwares that use frequently] Mostly, witcher3/Fallout 4/AutoCAD/ANSYS

[Personal preferences] Mostly will need to run some intensive simulations.. so please provide me bang for buck for the rig. Any decent 20" monitor will do.
Will require LAN card also for work purposes.
Preferably 6GB for my Graphics card.

[Location] JB area

Feel free to suggest me anything.

Looks good to me. Though if you could spend a lil more on PSU and get yourself a gold rated one that'd be even better. smile.gif

Thanks Kristal, hope that some other sifus can give me some good pointers if any. smile.gif

Better PSU lowers your electricity bills a bit, runs cooler and helps your hardware last longer.

But what if I get a 650w to 750w psu to cater for future usage/upgrade, but current pc only require about 300w to 350w, will this new psu lower my electricity bills?

Btw, do you hv any recomendation for ups, I only want one to enable me to save my data when there's a power failure or power trip?

Does the pc power consumption affect the the ups spec?

Lower wattage savings is insignificant. Like I saId, a bit.

Yes, PSU wattage affects UPS. APC UPS is good. You can check how much you need on their website. 750W = 1400VA I think.

Can I use a lower VA, eg 800va or 1100va? What's the pros and cons of using a lower va then?

I know nuts about ups previously was using 650va ups models.

The price of 1400va is abit high.

And what about avr, so far only 800va and 1000va?

You have to go with lower wattage PSU. The overload will kick in if too much power.

UPS has overload protection. It won't power anything.
