Depends on the features (3D, render, brush resizing etc.) that you are going to use in PS, some require GPU, some don't need, some won't run without dedicated GPU.

Anyone can give me a short brief about what is SSD? Please make it short and easy to understand as I search over the article about the SSD and HDD. It is very confusing me.

1) I know SSD can read, write data faster and also start up window faster, but does it store data as well? or it just help to boots the HDD become faster?

2) If I get a SSD, do I still need the HDD?

3) I saw some SSD is like a ram stick that plug on the mother board and some is just like normal hard drive. sSo what's the difference between these two models.

4) The SDD storage is way smaller than HDD. So how many gb is recommend to take? and what's the price?

Thanks in advance.

SSD is just like a HDD as in they can store informations. Just like a pendrive and a SD card.

1) It is faster than a HDD thats why ppl use it to boot games or OS(windows). They store information differently using different technology. It does not help to boost the HDD they are 2 completely different type of drives.

2) if you want to, but not necessary. However the main reason people go for both is because SSD cost much more per GB compared to HDD. So they will keep the OS and games in SSD to load faster and other files such as pictures in HDD. A 1 TB SSD can cost more than RM 1000 whereas 1 TB of HDD cost only RM200+

3) Those that look like a RAM sticks is called a NVME SSD it has few advantages e.g takes up less space and is faster than a regular SSD (last I checked this is true). However you have to make sure your MOBO has this M.2 slot for the NVME SSD.

4) Prices varies but generally a 120 GB SSD cost around RM 250 whereas the 1 TB SSD can cost up to RM 2000. I personally think that the 120 GB is enough just to put OS and a few games in there. Unless money is not a problem then go for as much as you can afford biggrin.gif

Hope I helped you

They serve the similar purpose which is to store data (a.k.a storage drive). SSD stores data in the flash memory while HDD stores data in the magnetic storage.

1. SSD doesn't boost the performance of HDD, they work independently. The recently announced Intel Optane memory is the one you are looking for if you want something that can boost the performance of HDD as it is served as a caching drive (you need a compatible 7th gen Intel CPU and mobo to use this feature).

2. And do you need HDD if you already bought SSD? This depends on you, SSD is expensive and usually we still rely on HDD to store files as they are much cheaper than SSD.

3. That's an SSD in M.2 form factor, it can run on SATA or even PCIe NVMe mode, if it is a M.2 SSD with SATA interface then the main difference with normal 2.5" SATA SSD is just the size.

4. As mentioned earlier, SSD is expensive, usually we only use it for OS and frequently used files/apps. 240GB is the standard/common size nowadays. 120GB is around RM 300 while 240GB is around RM 500 (depends on the brand and the price is based on SATA SSD, PCIe NVMe SSD is more expensive).

AMD Ryzen is coming soon (11 Apr), 4C8T Ryzen 5 is quite suitable (and cheaper than 4C8T i7) for your usage, are you able to wait for another 11 days (+/-)? If cannot then you will have to stick with Intel Core i5 (4C4T).

Depends on the display connector of your monitor, if you have 2 monitors with DisplayPort and 1 with HDMI then it is quite straight forward, just use the respective display connector of your GPU and connect to the monitor, then press "Windows key + P" and choose "Extend".

If your monitor doesn't have DisplayPort (only HDMI or DVI) then you need to buy adapter (DP-to-HDMI).

Can do a requote bro?

Budget : 5k +-
Usage :
I) Play games like witcher in high settings. So this should cover all those Dota2 , CSGO and so on.
ii) Run 3 VMs at the same time
iii) Run in 3 monitors
Processor : fastest and stable
GC : fastest and stable according to usage above
RAM : 32 GB Above
Chassis : Micro ATX
Cooling : Liquid cooling and without Liquid Cooling
SSD : 500 GB Above
HDD : 2 TB Above
