this is the one i've tried during big update yesterday and seems unstable....not sure if apk issue or my km8 pro box issue....

hi guys..
im new in anroid box thingy..
recently I bought Himedia Q10 Pro..

few days ago, I connect with my USB drive with MP3 songs..
when open USB drive, as normal song list do appear...
but problem is it just cant play no matter I press Play button or OK button in remote control..
the playing time keep at 0.00 and flashing just look like in pause mode

does this player doesn't support MP3 file ?

Mp3s should be a piece of cake for the Q10 Pro.. Firstly, check drive/files aren't corrupted and also what player did you use to play?

Yeah.. Try another.. As suggested and my personal favorite.. Kodi.. Though by right, the Q10 Pro has it's inbuilt and versatile media player. Unless that's for videos only.. Yeah, just install another media player. I use Poweramp on my phone.. It's great.

That wouldn't surprise me.. Such TV boxes aren't a major concern for the true AV enthusiast. biggrin.gif

True and that was the past.. Not even the Dune HD Pro 4K Ultra is overly popular today.. Times be changing. Basically, what I meant is that, hardcore enthusiast aren't that into the media players of today as they still are into excellent PQ and audio equipment such as AVR, speakers and projector setup. what for?

audiophiles only care if there are any ultra high performance machine like Panasonic DP-UB9000 or Pioneer LX500 for 4K blu ray playback; or jailbroken oppo and pioneer for local media file playback.

ppl changing new player nowadays because of
1) 4K HDR
2) Dolby Atmos / DTS-X
3) HEVC

hardcore enthusiast will just buy those jailbroken blu ray player.
peasant enthusiast will just buy any popular S912 chipset that is libre elec friendly to flash.

android tv box is good for online content streaming but the local media playback is "usable" but not perfect, still flaw here and there, affecting user experience.

for those people still in 1080p AVC codec era…even those ancient Realtek 1186/1185 or Sigma 8643 chipset media player still better than android tv box for blu ray remux playback.

Exactly.. Only hard-core enthusiasts... I've hung around AVForum to know I'm peasant enthusiast sweat.gif.. Can drool.gif only as people discuss their high-end equipment. There are even forums dedicated to devices that are at least $20k and above only.. So yeah, I'd be punching way above my weight class if I meddled.. laugh.gif

Why official YouTube app for Android tv keeps hang and stops playing on mecool m8s Pro L? Is this because they detect rooted device and cause it to hang?

Try updating or wait for an update. Happened to mine before last week after an update of YouTube for ATV. Now it is fine again.

The app will play a video for like 1min then blank out. Only way to recover is by force close it but it will happen again. During the moment I just use normal YouTube app.
