Thanks a lot for your feedback.yupe I did read through but I'm a noob in these and also never used one before. I know of a brand called infinite which seems nobody is using here comes installed from factory 2000 channels . Of coz I know most here are not using this set and dun use it to watch channels . Just wonder can I add on kodi on this. Retain whatever pre installed and add kodi. Really thanks a lot. Any feedback on infinite.
Well, most of us here as you've noticed aren't fans of "special name" boxes that come with a gazillion channels, bla bla. Those tend to come with hardware and firmware that are undesirably for other core needs such as better PQ, processing power or stability. We rather buy a box that does well as an all-rounder as we know that getting these other ehem iptv services are a piece of cake, once you know where to look. Please don't ask, can't entertain such here. Just google lor..
So for this Infinite brand/box.. TBH, this is the first time I'm hearing of them and since it's those kind of boxes...I frown upon it immediately and as such can't recommend it. Sure, you feel free to buy it and use. It might be a good box. Then you can return here and share your review of it's performance. Otherwise, I strongly suggest you ignore it and instead go for known boxes as discussed in this thread. Especially if you are thinking of running official Kodi on it. My 2 sen.

hi mate,
installed mxplayer, video decoding to HW,4k video still not smooth, but using Panasonic 4k tv built in player, playback from usb is fine, only thing is it doesnt support subtitles .....
more advices pls,all sifus ..
Hmm, there could be another issue.. The TV's video settings itself. but since you say that playing with the inbuilt player is fine.. Then should be the box then. In which case, no choice.. Have to either seek out custom ROMs or tweaks to boost performance (if available and risk bricking your box) OR you simply buy another box that does 4K HEVC playback very well.. For the subs issue, most TV will only read .srt files (not .sub/.sbv/incompatible hardcoded subs) and only when these files are named exactly as the video file name and placed in the same folder. Else they won't play the sub.. Example,
Folder Name: myqd
Video Filename: myqd_HEVC_4K.mkv
Sub Filename: myqd_HEVC_4K.srt
Try renaming and placing in the same folder first.
