cash out just the profits only?
btw, how many % is the profits earned?
*
Haha no la If I withdraw profit only It’s too little.

I cashed out half of my greater China and 20% of my principal Asia Pacific dynamic.

Profit for greater China is 15% (DCA after COVID) and 5% for principal Asia pacific dynamic (DCA for one year already, hence it was greatly impacted by the March crash).

It’s very hard to decide whether to sell now or keep holding, but my house will be done end of this year and I need some cash, hence it helped me in the decision.

Are you expecting some markets corrections to be coming soon? if YES, then what is your expected % of markets "pull back"?
*
I really do not want to over analyze the market.

For me the decision is simple, I need the cash in few months time and the profit is good. Take out some and leave some inside, continue to DCA.

What I would do is see if the fund manager has any sudden change in investment strategy, if not I continue DCA since in it for the long run. Either that or if the fund is underperforming similar funds then I'll sell.

Also has anyone read this article:
https://dividendmagic.com.my/that-1-fee-imp...ng-on-your-own/
Quite misinterpreted as fund fees already counted in returns...

Congrats to all that bought China funds, good year 😂😂. Most of y'all taking profit or DCA still?

Still letting it run. Took 1/3 off some fund early this month already to cover profit.

Fuiyoh. Nice gains.

Are unit trusts the only investment you do? I want to diversity like yours, but figured it'd be a little pointless since I'm already spread quite thin over stocks/stashaway/ANSB. Currently holding only 3 unit trusts on fsm only

with 4 out of 5 UT funds you holds....are CHINA focused/related,

to me that is a very high risk portfolio, but without knowing more about your risk capacity,....i just tembak tembak shoot....."try to diversify your port" or move some to FI funds.

Personally I feel bond is a waste of time. I aim for highest return equity with low volatility relative to it's peer funds. But this is definitely not a set n forget strategy.

bond has a place in a portfolio.....thus to me not a waste of time...
some bond funds has better YTD returns than some EQ funds

yes, they are not a set n forget strategy....applicable to both FI and EQ funds too

if you believe the market rally coming to end, lock in profit
if you believe the market will continue rally, hold off and dca

if you hold on and coming week the market dip again, can you handle it well?
if you sell it this week and coming week it rally again, will you beat up yourself?

in the end, its up to you.
no right, no wrong
as long as you are earning

Maybe consider diversifying into other regions. I think 1 or 2 funds in China/Asia are enough, perhaps can diversify into the Western side or even Malaysia (I own DMP and historical returns are about 9+%, so MY funds not too bad if you do your research and identify solid funds).

This is my personal holding. Just to give an idea. Select funds base on your own criteria.
