Help me understand 1 thing, about this annualized return. say I take this as example: [attachmentid=10017414] (Link: https://www.fundsupermart.com.my/main/fundi...-Fund-MYASM007)1) So meaning to say, should one hold on to the fund for the past five years, the return for holding is 5.55%. Correct? This post has been edited by watabakiu: Sep 11 2018, 08:45 PM

Correct? Annualised means per year/annually(1year).If he or she hold the fund for five years(based on the past performance), the total return should be 5.55%x5=27.75%(not sure if deduct the other cost such as maintenance, service charge, etc when you exit)

QUOTE(watabakiu @ Sep 12 2018, 12:45 AM) What about management fees? Is it reflected in determining the returns? NO and YES I guess it has to depends on how deep one gonna dig into to determine the returns.... NO, ....if one is like me, which just depends on the comparing the daily published NAVs to determine the returns, then the management fees make no different in determining the returns bcos that fees are already prorate calculated and deducted in the daily NAVs. YES,....if one is like someothers, that mentioned that the management fees are part of the cost of that are deducted daily from the NAVs, thus it affect the returns the investor should actually gets

Say the yearly return is 5.5%, and the management fee is 10.5%. So the actual return would be 5.5%-0.5%=4%.
Correct? Suddenly this % is making me confuse!

I always thought the yearly returns is already net of management fee. So 5.5% is what you see and is what you get.
