No wonder. It's hard to find. The only AM4 ITX options available officially in Malaysia is the Asrock and Biostar. I was told by a retailer the Gigabyte ITX board isn't part of the official M'sian SKU.

I've got a Gigabyte ITX board on the way (supposedly). Just waiting for that to start my R7 1700 build.

Normally I do stability test in 2 phases.

First is Cinebench. If it passes Cinebench then I'll run Realbench see if it passes the 15 minutes mark.

Yup, that was my plan. But with prime95 instead of realbench.

Prime95 is unrealistic but well, it's good if you want absolute stability. Can try OCCT too.

Prime95 / OCCT will push heat levels like crazy though.

I know. I might dial 3.8Ghz at 1.35v. Just wanna follow AMD safe limits. 100-200mhz to Magic 4 isn't a deal breaker.

So far mine's good at 3.9Ghz 1.375 range.

I'm going to leave it at that.

Check your motherboard QVL. Buy the cheapest DDR4-2800. 3000 if you wanna pay more. 3200 price is currently high.

I see, look for QVL and 2800. Thanks.

I reset cmos back to original settings for my 1600x.

But the voltage is still around 1.375V in Ryzen master. Is this normal?

And the processor doesn't seem to downclock itself when idle. Always showing all cores at 3.7ghz

You may need to set power setting in Windows to 'Balanced' or 'AMD Ryzen Balanced' if you have installed the latest amd chipset drivers

Actually, I prefer realbench when comes to real life usage kind of scenario stress test tool. :3

Doesn't matter bro. Stress test tool supposed to run all your hardware at max speed/settings. If something doesn't break, then it's all good. Real life you use like that?

Stability test. You overclock your rig to test for stability and temperatures. If you don't overclock your ryzen then just ignore it and just use it in default settings.

The software reading is wrong.

It's not possible that a 95W processor even after OCing will drain that much.

Use the wattmeter and measure it from wall is best.

Then again, does RealBench push the GPU? If yes then I think could be correct since GTX 980 Ti is a 250w card.

Yup, i saw the monitoring software indicate the graphics card is in fullload, hence i guess after oc ryzen is consume slightly more than 150watt .

For the processor load you can use Cinebench R15, I think that's sufficient.

That can show you the actual processor draw as GPU load is minimal on Cinebench R15.

I lazy to remove my 2011 from socket only. tongue.gif

It's still a lot bigger than 2011. You see, any AIO unit is able to cover the 2011 just fine.

The AIO base is not able to cover the entire Threadripper surface.

OK here's a view on how much surface area the typical AIO water block can cover. wink.gif
