Please help me choose RAM and mobo for Ryzen
Getting a Ryzen 5 1500x or 1600 (still undecided) Mobo A350 (still undecided) Need 16gb ram, or 2x 8Gb assume if get 2x 8gb of same ram it will run dual channel - usuage internet browsing with multiple tabs / youtube, my current 8gb is running out of memory fast. - dont game. I dont need anything fancy, price of 2133 is so similar to 2400 so I will get the later instead. Any other recommendation is welcome not on my list. --------------------- Budget RAM --------------------- RM 250 - 2133Mhz tho Silicon Power Desktop Longdimm 8GB DDR4 - 2133Mhz RM 260 GALAX 8GB DDR 4 2400MHZ CL16 DDR4 RAM is this Galax ram ok? its soo cheap and also lifetime warranty. Really temped to get 2x of these, probably just do the job. --------------------- Normal Ram --------------------- price range from 289-315 Please help me have 2-3 shortlist, its already sorted in price order. My current thinking is get the branded ones for easy rma if anything goes wrong, and maybe its better quality/reliable. eg kingston, gskill? RM 289 ADATA PREMIER DDR4 2400 8GB DESKTOP PC RAM RM 290 Kingston ValueRAM 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR4 2400 RAM RM 290 Adata XPG Hyper PC Ram DDr4-2400 8GB Ram (single) RM 293 Gskill Aegis 8GB DDR4 2400MHZ RM 589 16GB G SKILL RIPJAWS V SERIES 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 2400 PC RAM RM 299 Avexir Core Series DDR4/2400Mhz/8GB/LED RM 298 Geil Super Luce 8GB DDR4 2400MHz Single Channel Kit RM 315 Crucial 8GB DDR4 2400Mhz Desktop Value Ram - CT8G4DFD824A --------------------- Semi-Performance Ram --------------------- RM 654 Corsair Vengeance® LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 2666MHz C16 Memory Kit - Black (CMK16GX4M2A2666C16) probably would not get this ram, as I rather put money into better cpu, mobo or ssd. Dont think its value for money This post has been edited by Leon be here now: Aug 10 2017, 09:28 AM |

I can only see the pins on the socket. The smaller lid, orange plastic thingie on the processor and how precisely you slot in the processor cant really see clearly..I also made a video to show you guys how the installation of Ryzen Threadripper is different from other processors. |

Seems like TR can clock so much better than Ryzen. Most reviewer mentioned that they only need 1.25V for 4Ghz for a 16 core CPU. That is pretty impressive. Only 65C on a 240mm AIO cooler on a load test with all core at 4ghz.

I'm aware of it but didn't care, short of time so I focus on the socket area because locking it in place is the important one.Sliding it to the holding plate, nothing much to show. |
