planning on getting a ryzen setup too.. but price is a bit erratic across dealer. Care to share good source for ryzen. Thanks
Not really if you do your homework well. CPU can get from AcheenAudioShoppe, it is parallel import but i think worth the risk for few hundred saving. Motherboard and ram is about the same price across various dealers.

I would suggest going to Czone at PJ digital mall. They are experienced enough and price is stated in their price list already, very competitive.
Else let us know which area you from? Maybe everyone can help to suggest.
Forget about PI stocks. Although processors don't easily give you problem but who knows right.. just to be safe, purchase a local stock with proper 3 years warranty at least you will have a peace of mind 😀
Hey TristanX, I noticed in your sig you're using Corsair Dominator Platinum 3000MHz RAM? Are you using A-XMP/XMP or manual setting? How are the timings running at 2933MHz? Mine are rated 15-17-17-35 but using XMP on Asrock board, it's currently set at 16-17-17-35 @ 2933.

Have you experienced random crashing?
XMP on with 16-17-17-35. Manual 1.2V SOC and 1.35V RAM. No issue.

Well, magic 4 will need huge voltage bump. I could try.
Looks like manual overclock in BIOS have bug - it will downclock to 1.5Ghz. Search google and it is a known BIOS issue for some motherboard.
Tried Ryzen Master and manage to clock to 3.85Ghz max at 1.325-1.35V. Instant crash at 3.9Ghz running Cinebench. Temp is max 68C with air-cond on, 71C without air-cond, while running Cinebench R15, with Noctua D14. As thermal paste is just applied, will retest again after a week or so.

He do sell both local warranty unit and parallel import one I think. You can PM him directly. I got the parallel import one at few hundred cheaper, anything wrong still can send back to him and he will arrange RMA, same 3 years warranty.

do u need to remove the stock plastic mounting on the back of the mobo (the one via adhesive)?
I din remove anything from the back plate. Yes, the 2 black front mounting brackets needs to be removed but need to reuse the backplate to screw the Noctua new bracket on.
