Hi guys, I just installed Unifi 30Mbps today. They provided me the Huawei HG8240w and Dlink DIR-850L.

Is there anything I need to upgrade for the modem or router?

At the moment the setup is such way.

high rise building or landed ? what's the max speed that you got ?
my brother just got his Unifi 30Mbps (vDSL) installed today and max speed is only 20++ Mbps

Good news for my sister's taman. White boxes are installed and the agent went to every house to follow up on their registration to confirm again on their registration.
Should be very fast as what the agent said. I feel so relieved, finally.

Hi, i made a report today since my speed is so slow and disconnecting frequently. They reset the port but it did not seem to work. My line is 10Mbps but i've only getting about 3Mbps and most websites won't load.

The customer service told me they will send their external contractor tomorrow to check the cables outside the house and then advise if they need to send their internal people to check the equipment if the external contractors can't find any issue.

I've just received the SMS saying: We're trying our best to resolve the report within the next working day, subject to the nature of the fault. A one time charge will be imposed depending on the cause of fault.

Now i'm wondering, is this charge to check the cables outside or the equipments inside? How much is the charge?

I got ranging from 26-28Mbps. It was installed at landed house.

Been testing few hours, sometimes when loading a Google blank page is take quite long. And sometimes fast. Not sure whether is normal.

I know that feeling. Same thing happened to me. Was having internet issue and was planning to upgrade my streamyx to unifi but TM called me and told me that my lorong has no cable and port.
Kinda let down. Always getting this kind of image distortion when surfing the net. Very frustrating.

Might be because your router have IPv6 setting turned on

did you test using wifi or lan? anyone use during speedtest? which server did you pick?.

maybe you can start change dns to opendns or google dns.

i think this ABN bankrupt cable who didn't finish their work.

only ABN using TNB for their broadband infra.

VDSL USER will stick only 30mbps forever
until TM upgrade ZTE VDSL machine inside MDF room that can boost higher bandwidth
or u change fiber optic cable but expensive for now

for now TM will not install fiber optic in high rise building ..

You've already got an answer from your own question "depending on the cause of fault"

If the fault lies from your side, then yes you'll have to pay
If the fault lies from their side, then no you don't have to pay anything

On a side note, when you get the 3Mb/s download speed, did you test on wireless or ethernet cable?
Also, are you on VDSL or FTTH?

streaming to twitch past week or so has been horrible...

is there such thing as resetting port like streamyx with unifi?

I manage to found the option for IPv6, but no option for me to turn off IPv6 except the Enable DHCP-PD:



The speed was tested on LAN, only 1 PC using at the moment. I pick the nearest to me Putrajaya. I will try the option to change the DNS.

Try speedtest.tm.com.my and see what you get.

I've no probs with speedtest.net or speedtest.tm.com.my with or without ipv6.

No solution for now if it's already updated. If it's not, it can be avoided.

Go to google and search for google installer or 谷歌安装器 which is mostly use for china's android phone or china's android box as they dont have the google service on their phone. I already install back the google play store after the update.
