Go to google and search for google installer or 谷歌安装器 which is mostly use for china's android phone or china's android box as they dont have the google service on their phone. I already install back the google play store after the update.

Great solution. I'm going to share this on another thread. Though I'm not affected but it's good for others to do the same.

Hi guys, I just installed Unifi 30Mbps today. They provided me the Huawei HG8240w and Dlink DIR-850L.

Is there anything I need to upgrade for the modem or router?

At the moment the setup is such way.
Thanks.

Good news for my sister's taman. White boxes are installed and the agent went to every house to follow up on their registration to confirm again on their registration. rclxms.gif
Should be very fast as what the agent said. I feel so relieved, finally. laugh.gif

You've already got an answer from your own question "depending on the cause of fault"

If the fault lies from your side, then yes you'll have to pay
If the fault lies from their side, then no you don't have to pay anything

On a side note, when you get the 3Mb/s download speed, did you test on wireless or ethernet cable?
Also, are you on VDSL or FTTH?

Hey, thanks for the reply. Unifi support personnel just came and changed the modem, performance dropped due to the age i think.

Now it's 8-10 Mb/s. biggrin.gif

guys, wanna ask smtg and sorry if this question has been asked

just installed Unifi 30Mbps last week so far the speed is okay, the problem is the Internet Connection, it seemed not to be stable, means that internet will stop working randomly anytime, and I have to reboot the router and modem to get it working, when the LINK & VOIP on the modem is blinking, the internet stopped working, so could this be a problem to the router ? Thanks.

Either modem issue or your fiber cable issue. U try make sure your fiber cable from outside till your modem got any spoilt issue or not.

If still having this issue, just call 100 to report technical issue and they'll come your house fix it.

The agent who came to every house in my sister's taman here did mention black box is Streamyx while we know UniFi is white box, so this could be Streamyx? hmm.gif

I asked my friend at TM and he said, maybe contractor could pull a cable from lorong 6 to lorong 5.

So......aside from the extra price from pulling the cable......how much fund do I have to prepare for first billing?

Last time when I subscribe to Unifi for first house, there wasn't any installation fee......

Just the cable billing if you exceed the free length. However, you will need to pay to contractor directly not via first billing.

Okay.....cable billing confirm exceed free length, so this direct paid to contractor.....how about the installation RM200? I thought it suppose to be exempted for unifi advance promotion right now?

So..., other than those cable length billing* for my first month billing....I need to pay deposit of RM179 and monthly bill of RM179.

What else? nod.gif
