nope. ebd wont activate until u carry weight behind.
*
I think it is actually constantly running because there is no longer a fixed proportioning valve on the brake system to distribute front rear brake forces. However, the parameters and the characteristics of how Honda integrated it is actually unknown.

So, do they apply more force to the rears in initial brake application before the weight transfers to the front under braking is unknown. After that, i believe it relies on the individual wheel speed sensors with all the steering input and vehicle speed to determine which wheel with most grip can maximize the brake forces.

That is something i believe EBD is designed to do in general but like EPS. It depends on how each manufacturer dials the darn thing in.

any idea how to trigger the alarm?

You mean car finder? Like unlocking and locking the car which is silent now and only indicated by the indicator lamps, there is no longer car finder because i think it is considered noise pollution. Blame the crazy people for thinking this up.

if u see most car brochures. it only say 1 function.
increase brake force to rear wheel when it carry weight.
how much increase is controlled by electronic.

never say control 4 wheels.

It is very hard to tell if the car is involved in accidents before especially the minor fender benders. If they just lost a bumper from an accident, i won't be too worked up from it for the money i can possibly save. But, it all depends on whether you are comfortable about it or not. If a more major accident that knocked up part of the chassis and stuff then i would be more concerned.

But a car sold within the 1st year with low mileage already would raise suspicions from either accidents or possibly a lemon unit. So, it would be hard to tell as the owner can keep all this things under wraps if they are not honest. So, you will have to take a risk with it even though it looks like a remarkably new car. If the savings are not that much over a new car. The 10 odd thousand that you can save over a period of 5 to 9 years is practically nothing on a monthly basis vs the risk or worry that you have to endure getting a used unit. Not to say that a new car would be problem free, but the chances are lesser. That is what my personal opinion is.

As for warranty, as long as the owner did the service at honda dealerships and have the service booklet chopped and acknowledge by the centers "on schedule". It should be safe to say that it is intact. But, might still want to check on how transfer of ownership reflects on the warranty with their policies.

if its jus cosmetic accident then its fine for me...

1 year + full spec jazz with bodykit sell for rm60k quite a bargain but at the same time it might be lemon unit or crashed hard...risky yet tempting

used car shop told me the owner upgrade car to new model merc..

i dont drive much so i wouldnt spend much on car so used with near new unit would be just nice..

Hi guys, I have a question to ask. My friend's Honda Jazz encounters something minor problem recently. Her in car player stops playing songs via Spotify recently. I tried connected her phone to my Perodua Alza and it plays Spotify just fine. Then I tried connecting my phone to her Jazz and still no sound when playing Spotify. Any suggestions?

Via bluetooh or via lightning cable?
I have no issues for both ways but lightning cable can show album cover

Then i am not sure. But based on the sensors it work on which is from the ABS, it determines brake forces to individual wheels via multiple parameters and primarily via determining which wheel has the most grip. How would it know when it is carrying weight and make adjustments based on that. I am just saying this from a logical point of things la.

Anyways, not arguing. We do not know anything for sure unless we know how the actuator is designed to perform in depth.

Well, as i said. It is a risk you have to gauge and own up to it yourself as you are the one taking on the risk.

Weekend car or not, you still have to deal with it if it develop problems.

That is still quite impossible in the city to be frank. But, then if you managed to do it, kudos to you

Via Bluetooth bro. Previously she has no problem with this until recently. Spotify works fine when her phone is connected to my car, just her Jazz.

Hers is the base model with no screen haha. She's just pissed that no sound comes from her car speaker when she plays from Spotify via Bluetooth.

That is a weird way of explaining EBD. But then, i think the actual logic is more complex than that layman explanation.

I did some looking around, not 100% sure on the possibility of swapping to a high spec JDM projector LED assembly. But it looks possible according to this facebook post, i am not good with FB but i screenshot it.

user posted image

It looks to include all the necessary sockets to swap with our local Jazz halogen assembly. Price wise, don't look cheap. But, you know the SOP with "rare" stuff la.

Then a bit more searching and found this

https://www.facebook.com/groups/12898102977...424625604246455

I doubt it is RM2, more like RM2k as i seen some other used ones going for RM2xxx.

Browsing myjffc, i noticed some even done the aftermarket projector LED mod, i believe an "at all costs" project

If you are looking at a simple bulb swap, i was actually looking at Phillips X-treme Ultinon H4 replacement LEDs. I did a search and it seems to be available in Malaysia but price wise is not easy to stomach. Close to 1k for the bulbs. But i heard this are the best LED swaps as it has the right dispersion, focus and cut-off compared to all other aftermarket LED kits.

After some further reading on fitfreak, not GK5 specific but something nice to know

http://www.fitfreak.net/forums/general-fit...-seriously.html
http://www.fitfreak.net/forums/fit-interio...n-complete.html
http://www.coplusinc.jp/honda-fit

and some company in Malaysia that does projector retrofitting but lost the link.

Happy hunting

I have replaced my bulb with this Philips H4 LED. Bought it at less than RM700 from taobao, and it's genuine product.
So far satisfied with the quality & result.

Hey guys. About to put my booking on Honda Jazz S spec. Yes, I know that S spec don't have VSA etc. Budget is tight, but need to replace my 9+ years old Suzuki Swift. So I got some questions for all owners here.

1. Is there any major/minor issues?
2. Is any issues above can be rectify with the SA immediately there?
3. What is the checklist I should do when receiving the car?

That's all I can think of now. Thanks guys!
