According to the news, they plan to use satellite, and yea, need to use satellite dish. They didn't disclose whether they will use either Ku band or C band, but very likely is Ku band la...

You say outdated like Astro outdoor dish? Then what is the most up-to-date satellite technology for you then?

The reason why Ansa use satellite instead of others, are pretty obvious. They want instant nationwide coverage, and anyone can get to enjoy the service right away. This is something you can't beat over fibre optics. So what makes you think outdoor satellite dish is an outdated tech for you?

To me, the point is the consumers are given an option with Ansa coming in. Competition is good in that Astro cannot remain complacent much more. My hope is Ansa learns from Astro's arrogance and provide better service.

They can't satisfied everyone if everything is smooth sailing, but hopefully there's improvement over astro one. *cough*picture quality as close to their source*cough*

Then sure uses Ku band to beam to users.
U cannot use C band for the mass public.. The cost is too much...

Now the question is, uses which satellite??

Astro one "cheat" uses MPEG 2 & downgraded the bit...

Hopefully they lease from other sources not Measat.

Don't forget there are some people out there loves to watch Astro Ria, Prima & Oasis program. And, don't tell me that Ansa will include Astro Ria HD as part of their channel addition..

Same like HyppTV. At first, add Astro Supersport then add a lot Astro channel, like Astro Awani, Prima & Oasis channel. But, good days come when HyppTV finally removed all Astro channel last year..

Of course, Ansa will use MPEG4 format.
Even HyppTV when first launch in 2010 use MPEG4 for both SD & HD channel.

No brain still watch crappy picture in MPEG2 codec?

Measat is Malaysia government proud.
For sure, gomen/SKMM want them to use proudly made in Malaysia satelite..

If uses Measat, maybe the operators charged higher than for astro since rival company

there's some weird thing that last sunday astro TVN broadcasts new 24hr express drama live up to the name, but at the same time in hypptv TVN suddenly shown other drama(like bride of the water god), even repeat telecast of this new drama all replaced with other programme.

Maybe tvN in Astro pay more high fee than in HyppTV one.
Also, another dirty tactic by tvN people. This new Same Day As Korea drama. Live up to the name should be broadcast to the entire Asia Pay TV..

Btw, Ansa should look into more good channel like never before seen channel. Give us GEM HD, please..

Don't know what tvN management is thinking.
Promote this new same day as korea drama. But, cannot watch for same Pay TV operator.

Do note that tvN in Singapore have dedicated feed for SG. When i check about that. Yes, Starhub TV do showing Duel drama. But, in Singtel TV i'm not sure.

People in Thailand & Indonesia & the rest of Asia cannot watch this show because tvN promote that only made available in "Singapore & Malaysia". Oh wait, Thailand is not Asia country? What this TV channel provider thinking also i don't know..

If Ansa Broadcast has launch first Japan AV Idol channel in Malaysia, all Malaysian will be available watching sexiest and gay.

Don't say have censorship or not. This will be ban for sure.
Not good for public(include kids) to watch.

Yes, i know in Japan have dedicated channel cater for this. Sometime, i wonder do Japanese watch this kind of channel. Do note the channel is available in satelite TV platform & in HD quality..
