Its like the multiroom service but doesnt have all the packages that the main decoder has. Only the basic and one mini package i think, so it is much cheaper.
*
Ok, thanks. But Multiroom is only RM50, for which I get to watch all channels I subscribe to and that's plenty. How much is the mini one?

Slowly one by one channels cease transmission...
And best part, there's no replacement channel shakehead.gif

Shouldn't they then reduce the fee???

Yeah..
It cost more to "import" foreign content...
I'm more worried because of this reason, astro might take the advantage of increasing the pricing of their package bruce.gif
*
They cannot do that. If there is no deletion of channels but just new ones being added, yes, increases are justifiable. Provided we want those which means therefore, they must give consumers options to accept or not. However, when they take away channels but not replace them but yet charge us more by putting in channels in the packages we are subscribed to, which in most cases, we do not want, that is not right. Period.

Astro & reduce fee in same page??

Can dream on..
More likely would increase fee.. But not sure when devil.gif

Of course I know they won't. I was just stating the fair and equitable situation.

Well if I remembered correctly..
The only option they give previously when increase fee is to reduced package without contract being extended..
Something like that..

We cannot reject the fee increase.. Its like in their T&C.. Any changes in fee is based on astro needs & situation... Changes can be done time to time with some notice period given..
*
I reiterate, I know the obvious. These blood sucking scums do not give 2 hoots to the consumers. Why? One word, Monopoly. Again, I was just commenting that that's the ethical way.

http://thestar.com.my/business/business-ne...ansa-broadcast/  shall we all just  laugh again or rejoice ?? Anyway very pleased to note that asstro now has weak consumer sentiment!

http://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/astr...e-pressure-ansa
also note that asstro wants skmm to control OTT players !!
*
Consumers for some years now have not been happy with Astro. The latter has survived all these years because of their monopoly in this industry. They have shafted many things down our throats simply because of that.

This new player has not come soon enough. I bet you many will shift over. I'll be the first.

Why get worked up because of one person who thinks he is clever.

Firstly, it's not a dream. It's going to be a reality that there is going to be another service provider. Secondly, in order to compete with Astro they will probably know what is the right thing to do especially when they are the new kids in the block.

Lastly, Astro improving their services is something we cannot hold our breath for given their arrogance.

The point is Ansa broadcast use what to receive channel? Fiber optic like TM? Or use outdated same as astro outdoor dish?

If Ansa use fiber optic to receive channel, then slowly slowly wait for those Sarawak and Sabah people. Since Ansa under by U company, sure focus at Kl and Selangor only. Those who stay at northern and southern malaysia, need wait more than 6 years to available.

If use satellite dish, see use C band or Ku band. If use Ku band, damn shit like astro unable to watch channel during raining.
*
To me, the point is the consumers are given an option with Ansa coming in. Competition is good in that Astro cannot remain complacent much more. My hope is Ansa learns from Astro's arrogance and provide better service.

QUOTE(jamesleetech @ Aug 18 2017, 12:27 AM)
Again this Low L H simply talk nonsense. Why nonsense?

Anyone can make guesses by saying "IF" this or that channel (such as SciFi, Fox, etc) is taken by Ansa and then give opinions. Its okay because its just "IF" guesses that can possibly happen.

But its really stupid to say "IF" Ansa takes any X-rated or Adult or AV channel because EVERYONE in Malaysia knows that such channels are NOT allowed to be shown here in Malaysia.

Well... I will definitely NOT be so stupid to say "if Astro Publications publishes Playboy Magazine (Malaysia Edition), then everyone here will be able to view sexy naked ladies". Definitely NO IFs.

Why should Low say "IF" when we all know that such AV channel is guaranteed not allowed for Malaysia... not only for Ansa, also not allowed for Assteruk, HyppTV, and whatever broadcaster. What is the purpose of saying only "if Ansa"? Why not say you hope "Assteruk" to take such AV channel too and then get to watch LGBT AV? * LGBT : Lesbians, Gays, Bisexual and Transexual.

If want to assume something, then don't just simply use something that everyone knows that there is no such thing as "IF" for banned materials !

I guess the reason why "Japan AV Idol channel" is mentioned is because he wants to criticise and try to pull down the image of Ansa. Why? Because he wants to jack up the image of Assteruk which he worship and love so much that he can't live without Assteruk. Of course he wants Assteruk to succeed because he is using NJOI and don't pay any monthly subscription so he don't care what assteruk do to those people who pay monthly subscriptions ! At least my guess makes some sense... his guess that Japan AV channel may be allowed is pure nonsense.

I may be wrong but I suspect that he doesn't want Ansa to succeed because "maybe" another Satellite Pay TV can damage or weaken Assteruk which may affect his "free" NJOI channels.

Earlier, he trolled about various new NJOI channels "coming" which are actually his own wishes... and when asked where he got the info, he gave a link to a post in Assteruk FB which is actually posted by him, LOL !!

I really admire this guy for being able to continue like nothing happen and don't bother what other people think about him ! Hehe... I failed... did not manage to ignore him loh.

I believe the "best" logical way for Ansa is to use the Satellite platform to broadcast because of obvious reasons... fast and easy delivery nationwide without needing to take time and $$ to invest in terrestrial infrastructure. At the present time... we are not even sure when Digital Terrestrial TV will be officially launched... what about "nationwide"? Just look at recent history on what happened to the failed ABN (Asian Broadcasting Network) Cable TV. So, I am really not surprised IF Ansa decides to use the Satellite TV platform loh.

Yes, everyone who supports competition and condemn monopoly (except for "one" person here) will surely hope that Ansa succeed loh. I also hope so. BUT... whether Ansa will succeed or not in the future... only time will tell. How long will it take for Ansa to become a "force" that is strong enough to compete with Assteruk? I don't know. I just hope Ansa don't "die" before it even start !!

Mmm... I also notice another "interesting" guy called Mr Loh A+ who did also posted info that is... well... where is the reliable source to back it up? I hope its not the same person, hehe. I apologise if different person.

You pre-empted me with your comments about this 'speak without thinking' fella.

I sometimes wonder if people of such sort know that they are making fools of themselves and in a public forum at that.

Anyone aware that if our decoder got problem and Astro replace it for FOC, we still need to pay RM65 for the technician that install it for us?
My docoder can’t connect WIFI and I bring it to the service centre and confirm decoder issue, the lady told me will arrange technician to change it but I still need to pay RM65?
*
Is this a new policy of theirs? I have never paid for replacement of faulty decoders. Could it be due to different tiers of customers of theirs?

If your bill under RM99 & above. You will be charge for RM65 for technician.

But, if your bill RM100 & up. You will not be charge at all.

inb4 tq astro cekik pengguna. Rakyat suka tengok cerita berulang-ulang... laugh.gif laugh.gif

That explains it. I pay over RM200 monthly. Which means, as I said, there is a tiered customers policy.

Anyone able to access all channels currently afforded by Astro as a so-called token of their appreciation?

These idiots never get their act together. I can never every time they have this.

Thank you JoshHD for the explanation.
I am using PVR and the signal strength is maximum 63%.
Would this be normal, since you mentioned at least 70%.
I need to pay RM65 for both my decoders (with multiroom) and Assthrow agrees to credit the same amount to my account.
*
Are you saying, Astro agrees to reimburse you the RM65 service fee by crediting your account? If so, I would deem that as on a case to case basis that Astro would consider. Kindly confirm so that long term customers like me would make requests for the same in such eventualities. TQ.

You can talk to their team leader or manager as they have the authority to waive it for you, in a way of crediting your account after you paid the cash to the technician.
*
Cool. That's all I need to know.

However, in your case did you speak with the relevant authority before or after the technician has finished his task? TQ.

You need to be in agreement first before you consent for the technician to come.

What I was actually asking is whether you spoke with the person concerned about the reimbursement before or after the technician came to your place.
