Encountered same thing several months back, delay of 1 to 3 days. At least twice. But they did calculate the interest based on the number of days. So did not complain. A bit strange especially there is holiday or weekend involved.

UOB system related ? Other banks even weekend or holiday still go by the date of the month.  biggrin.gif

UOB FD interest also not banked in for 29th due date. So looks like UOB has different way of dealing wth FD interest as compared to other banks like BR, AmBank, HL, CIMB, MBSB etc.

Not that. Due to Sat/Sun, looks like they only pay on working day. But they would calculate by number of days from last pay interest date. biggrin.gif

Still work, the trick is to login to CIMB clicks first and then press that link and login again.

After that, it will redirect you to the FD placement page

Will it showed 4% before placement?

The only option for me is 3.3%, does it automatically upgrade after placement?

one question for maturity date falls on weekend. my case is with ambank, but keen to know for other banks as well.

3rd and 4th Nov is weekend, and the maturity is on 3rd nov. it’s clear there will be interest for 3 and 4 nov if i uplift on monday, 5 nov.

what if i uplift it from 6th onward? will i still get interest for the weekend mentioned above?

I've the same problem here, but instead of Tuesday, I uplift on Monday (today). Due on Saturday 2 days ago. They didn't give me any interest for this 2 days. I called their CS and was informed that I won't get any interest because it's automagically renewed on Saturday.

From the statement above, it's clear that interest will be given if uplift on Monday. Anyone managed to get it automagically without a big complaint?

Thanks bro. I'll go through the email channel then, or maybe call them again. I forgotten to ask the branch, although they did counter offer for the uplifting citing that if I renew with them, I get interest from Saturday onwards, implicating that I won't get any from Sun-Mon if i uplift.

Update : Just called them again. Gave me a long story and ask me bring my friend (i.e. you since I have to justify my reason) to the branch and check the accounts.

So I'll try email for black and white.

went to cimb in the noon, supposedly wanna place FD 6m@4.4/4.5%pa like others
but then one of the manager approach me & offer me PCA + 3m FD @ 6%
condition like below
- PCA 25% of fund, rest 75% goto FD
- FD is 3m @ 6%pa
- PCA 1st 20k 0%, after that 1.8%pa... if got alot (like 2mil+) can get 3%
then she write alot until i so confused
tell me the average out punya pa i get is 4.83% if i opt for this method
then got islamic & conventional (islamic can pay dividen in advance???)
end up i opt for her proposal and take the conventional PCA + FD,
but they ran out of ATM/debit card so i just get slip... since there's incident on cimbclicks ... i guess at this moment i just go OTC for everything dulu ahahah

wanna ask all the finance sifu here... does her proposal really better than just take 6m FD @ 4.4/4.5? I went to HLB they offer the same CASA + FD@6(new) or 6.18(old cust), but then the distribution is like 10k FD + 7.5k CASA ... wanna ask for more detail, they just give me the face like no bother ... so i didn't bother also.

For 200k (FD + PCA), effective rate is 4.77% (50k in PCA, 1.8%)
For 480k (FD + PCA), effective rate is 4.97% (120k in PCA, 2.25%)
or 2 millions (FD + PCA), effective rate is 5.1% (500k in PCA, 2.5%)

Opening a PCA with another 10k, will entitle to RM188 cash bonus. But I think this offer end 31/Dec

The branch offered me but I decided to go for longer tenure in uob. I am below 50.
Same with my case somehow. The online page only reflected my new fd the following day but the value date start from the day I opened the fd so no complain from me as well.
Yes I can confirm UOB interest counts by day. I placed my fd on 26th Dec  2018 and maturity on 29th Oct 2019 (10 mths). I don't mind coz they pay interest till 28th Oct 2019.
*
UOB is the best bank in terms of printing the interest clearly on the statement. All banks pay interest based on day.

Am bank promo till 6/1/19

No change
3 mth 4%
6 mth 4.2%
12 mth 4.3%

Senior saver no longer available.

Agreed. If I've not mistaken, the only reason I went to Ambank was because UOB was reluctant to renew my FD with their promotional rate. Sometimes they give exception, but not last year.

Public Bank also manually calculate the weekend/holiday interest without asking.

Thanks bro - for confirming the weekend interest.

Dec 31, they still offered me the Senior Saver or whatever 50+ FD. Not sure if that was the last day or whether they know what they're doing. They started with 4.2% a few days ago when I asked, then suddenly 4.3% when I withdraw.
