For HLB, I apply the normal saving acc n pay the ATM fee for first year, then I cancel the ATM card, so basically I also pay nothing for my HLB except the first year AF n I’ve passbook n online banking..

so, why are banks making online FB placement so rare?
At least those with good rates, at the moment, the best is Maybank's 4.1% only (correct me if im wrong cause I've just placed it 5 minutes ago )

AmBank better 4.28% for 8 months , now reduce to min 1K

the TnC is real, just now I was able to see the 4.37% under both Conventional and Islamic, but not anymore after the first placement....
I guess its for first time user and one time only.

informing us about a 3-month FD promo with 7.7%p.a. rate......

with T&C applied she said, without willing to disclose anything any further in that brief phone call (further details when we visit the bank...)

what's the usual catch apart from our money having to be fresh fund?
