Yes, i am already an Invikta customer. I was asking if Invikta rates can be found via efd. 😉
[quote=BoomChaCha,Jun 5 2022, 08:52 AM]
I noticed Affin eFD (islamic or conventional) rate is 2.85% for 1 year, when I go to place OTC, the rate is 2.9%

[quote=bbgoat,Jun 5 2022, 09:19 AM]
I asked Affin RM during signup, Invikta FD rates is only OTC. The Affin eFD rates do not offer special Invikta rates, even if u are their Invikta customer.

Thanks.

Additional rates for Invikta customers are only for OTC placement.

The online system for efd is not clever enough to differentiate the different type of customer ls

One thing good about BR is they auto adjust the FD maturity date. Though on placement date this was normally done to working day. I have FD due today, but maybe due to changes in the public holiday, this was not changed last year.

2 days ago checked still same, today shown as 7th June. So no need to hassle and ask for add'l interest.

Anyway still has to take it out and go to AmBank. When will BR revise the FD rates, Wed another FD due........

Affin can only pay semi annual FD interest (every 6 months pay 1 time), but need to place at least 13 months FD.

Is it true that most banks now requires that FD interest be deposited into savings account instead of adding on to the principle amount? Affin wont let me plough back the interest when renew time

Sorry if this is something old and already discussed earlier. Being out of touch

No, depends on the bank or promotion's T&C. Your Affin is OTC or eFD?

RM 10000 ---> 70% to FD at 3.55%, 30% to Prime Win at 0.05%

FD: RM 7000 x 3.55% = RM 248.5 profit per year
Prime Win: RM 3000 x 0.05% = RM 1.5 profit per year

RM 248.5 + RM 1.5 = RM 250/2 = RM 125.00 is 6 months' FD profit

RM 250/RM 10000 = 2.5% effective rate

Shouldn't the FD be times by 3.5% and CA by 0.05%? I think that shld be the correct way of calculation. Effective rate is when both are added up. At the end always look for effective rate as the correct rate
