If the card is still in warranty period then no point modding it except the owner got a lot of bullet to spare in his wallet...

Other than that, why not ? brows.gif

Poison poison...

To be honest, i doesn't mod the OPAMP myself, i took it to a handphone repair shop to do it for me since i don't trust my skill and my tools sux...
The capacitor is a lot easier than i thought smile.gif

You need a 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack (male to male), connect the output to the input. Download the program, run it and set your card input and output, and click on the bottom left Run Test on Playback/Recording. Then the sound level and spectrum windows will come out, the ideal range is around -1dB, adjust this on Windows control panel, when its goes green click the start test. Don't run any sound program during that period, especially if you run just one card, leave till it ends. Then post the result here

XTREME, I'll try to find is there anyone who done the mod on that card. From first look, looks like the capacitor you changed might not related to audio signal( the right one at least) I'll confirm this

Actually that is the proper way to do the opamp removal and installation. I have other way to remove opamp though. I lack of tools too, and a very shaky hands, that doesn't stop me from modding
