But I fell in love with X-Fi, crystalizer too, but the 3d-cmss sucks.

What Windows did you use? If Vista or 7 have you tried using latest driver and ALchemy? If ALchemy still don't detect the game you can manually put them in. One more thing, EAX won't work if you have 2nd soundcard even after you put Creative cards to be primary cards, that is from what I experienced

Finally, my very own analog line out from DAC I'm very happy with it, this is the 2nd prototype. The 1st one have imbalanced volume because sketchy layout and improper grounding. After senior lecture about circuit 101 and 2 days of hard work thinking of proper layout, this is the result. Its not without pain, first the left channel is silent, because of one trace is disconnected. Only tested with NE5534, but I have LT1363 and LT1677 to test Powered by unused PC PSU but modded with better caps

Using Vista X64 ..Xtreme Music + P5800 :3 (Xtreme modded, ironic huh )well, technically it's like what you mention, some games has built in sound system i guess or something similar. the game sorta had bug when the quality is set too high at control panel.

XtremeMusic XtremeModded, nice When you mean quality, do you mean the default format and sample rate? I just use 16-bit 44.1kHz for that, or you could use 24-bit 44.1kHz/48kHz. There is very few apps requires more bitrate than that. Do you change to Game Mode when you game?

yeah i do ...well by default i set mine to 24 bit/ 96000 ...makes the game volume sounds like chipmunks xD...

I just upgraded to 7 RTM and both my DDL and DTSC are still intact, I tried running the installer, no problems wor... If you want, maybe I can send you my copy of the DTSC installer.

Nah, I don't have much opamp, yes National do send free sample to Malaysia, but you need to pay the shipping fee, unless you have .edu email address
