well @matrix, i think you should provide more solid proof before saying that EAX is dead or OpenAL. @najmods, what about XtremeMusic (owns 1 here) heh, played prototype and i still get the EAX function (i guess )

Using Vista X64 ..Xtreme Music + P5800 :3 (Xtreme modded, ironic huh )well, technically it's like what you mention, some games has built in sound system i guess or something similar. the game sorta had bug when the quality is set too high at control panel.

yeah i do ...well by default i set mine to 24 bit/ 96000 ...makes the game volume sounds like chipmunks xD...

so far only on Prototype >_<...but then i mostly listen to songs then game heh...might consider to switch soundcard since i need the space. (xtrememusic is pci and i need pcie )

change caps, all done by modders though (I know which part to change but don't have the parts)

err, can't recall where did i bookmark it just google for it ...

if not mistaken, i think xtreme gamer or was it xtreme audio cannot mod since it does not use the x-fi chip or something..

XtremeAudio is not using the X-Fi chip. it has already been mention earlier (i was the 1 asking )

well if it's me, Titanium (cause XtremeAudio if not mistaken uses the same chip like Audigy thus i find it useless to change to it )

both of it uses the older chip it seems =/..(audigy SE's sound chip)
