Drove my friend's Mazda 3 and CX3. Interior space wise, smaller than the Civic. I'm quite big sized so ymmv on this. I feel that on long journeys, I won't be that comfortable coz my legs are hitting the centre console. The back seats are also quite small and there is little leg room.

But in terms of handling, very good - pleasantly weighted steering. Engine was also quite good - not that far off from Civic's performance imho.

Ok here what I did.

After the mechanic installed the Locktech and test the start function, I tested it again at the shop. I pulled the 1st lock until hear the clicked sound, then I pushed the 2nd lock to lock the 1st lock. (Complete locked)

Try start the engine by push the start engine button. Electric system functioning, but engine not start. Success.

I release the 2nd lock, then release the 1st lock. Now push the start engine button. Electric system functioning, and engine start. Success. (Of course it will start because the pedal lock is unlocked)

Ok now the remote start function.

I lock the 1st and 2nd lock. (Complete locked). Close the door and lock it by pressing the lock button at the door handle.

Now from the remote key, I press Lock (car blink once), and then press the remote start button. Electric system functioning, and engine start. Success!

I enter the car, release the 2nd and 1st lock. Press brake and push start engine button, and all system run smoothly. Success!

All tests completed successfully...

Edit: Other than Locktech, you can try Aorto. Our friend here, Sawamura using Aorto and have no problem with remote start function.

PS: But make sure to check the pedal lock you buy is really Locktech Civic 2016 (PS) written at the box. Because before this I want to install Locktech and the seller said ok. But when he bring out the box, the brand is written in Thai. Looks like Locktech but but it is not Locktech. So I cancelled to install the pedal lock with him.

Locktech got only one model or few model? How much for the locktech? Plan to get one too.

try unplug the battery and connect after 5 mins?? i assume it's bad HU, so air cond all functioning?

I asked in jb. If sticker type it is rm150. Anyway everything here is ripoff.

Eg, modulo abs Spoiler. I got quoted at rm480. After bargain, I got it at rm400.  Forummer here got in kl for rm280.

And I am not happy with the installation sumore. The spoiler got scratches. Gaduh with shop.

Just gt back to work, hope its not too late to wish all the sifus here  Happy CNY. Just gt my 1.8s Modern Steel yesterday. Its my 1st time trying out 1.8 have never really tested in the test drive unit before. It does have sufficient power to fulfill my daily ride.

2 rattles, 1 at meter panel, the other like a soft squeak (like soft cricket sound)...this one i cant locate where

Gona go to the SC and ask them to check. Will post results here if successful

Meanwhile, would be great if members here can post some possible causes and success in fixing

Just got back from SC, they refixed my A-Pillar cover both sides (i knew both were loose as there is free play between the cover and the car body when i press on it)

So far driving back no more rattle

Ill test and update here if this is really the culprit for the rattles

Which service center did you go to?

I wonder if its a common issue that Honda malaysia is aware about..

SC at PJ section 13, must say service level is good

I do suspect they know about it (ie common issue)

We talked about the common ticking noise from VSA/ABS module also, they know about it...was advised that if ticking is non stop, then it can be regarded as faulty

anyone installed kn&n filter to FC, significant boost?

The cricket sound appears when you go through bump? I got that sound too. Thought it was my dashcam
