i think battery water or those drinking distilled water are suitable to use as long as its not mineral water or tap water can d...

of course with proper mixture of additive such as biocide etc...  smile.gif

yeah but bryan has a very strong point when he spoke about conductivity.
but then again water just cant conduct water just like that. it needs a lil acid too which will make those minute additives inside unseen.

ah well. best is we use the Liebig condensor and make us some distilled water.

block, pump and rad, all 3 affects performance laugh.gif

I guess i need a good radiator and cpu block.
What if i use the thermaltake big water or other ALL-IN-1 WC kit,and change the cpu block, will it give a different?

i think its not good also, for ur info, TT uses aluminium radiator, which is not recommended to mix different metal in the same loop... corrosion will occur if u use copper block....

2nd, TT pump is quite famous for its failure after few months of usage, so if ur pump suffer suddent death, so as ur PC might be gone as well....

3rd, TT radiator are old inefficient design, so its not recommended as well...

4th, mayb u can use the reservoir, but the threading on the reservoir are small, so its quite restrictive i can say....

last of all, nvr ever use THERMALTAKE liquid cooling products... so as COOLERMASTER or GIGABYTE, u can use the Aquagate MAX reservoir + pump... quite nice i can say...

tht guy modded the faceplate of the CM aquagate max pump + reservoir, rest he uses custom parts...

if i am not wrong, i read an article about the CM Aquagate, overall its a good WC kit, the weakest part is its CPU Block, which the fins are joined on to a copper piece unlike those D-tek or Swiftech waterblock which made from a piece of copper by using CNC Machine and precise machining... then its the radiator, which is made of aluminium, not so recommended in my opinion... the 3/8 tubings not affecting much since an article about tubings size proven tht it just affect not more then 1c...

the part i like most about the Aquagate MAX is the reservoir + pump and the temp monitoring... quite nice... tongue.gif

the more impure the water is, the more conductive it is, assuming its of tap water, distilled water, battery water, and pure lab grade distilled tongue.gif

Sean waiting for ur review on the aqua gate max........actually i dun mind about those rad are aluminum, it not like the rad are so thin, slight corrosion would make a hole on it. If u want, u can always dielectric the conductivity by feed or bleeding the electrical charges out of the water, but this need some research and development - a recent product just introduce in cooliong industry although it being use in others for long time already

btw lichyetan, u meant the fin in the block are solded on the base plate instead of machine out of solid block ? no wander they can make it so cheap. i was wandering how did they manage it a while back....

i like the flowmeter that Aqua Max kit come with...

change to another block tongue.gif

i also not sure how to settle tht other thn changing block, mayb change mobo... ? cause i think its impossible to mod the block, try rotate the block in clockwise direction see if can fit since its LGA775 and the mounting holes are equal at all 4 corner...

hmm good idea, but u need a copper piece, to interface, performance will probably suck abit more..... and u have to assume ur screws can take the extra height
