yesterday i went to LYP to see all the cards (managed to see xfx thicc 2, red devil, strix, pulse and gigabyte). end up i went purchase the strix. it looks the most solid and balance of the all. thicc 2 is just too bulky and no curve that is not really to my taste. powercolor cooling looks a bit too plasticky (well all are plastic though, it just that the plastic maybe less premium?)

too bad on the way down i bought sthing else that is super tempting and super expensive laugh.gif so now i feel like just use my old gfx for a while and let go this strix. haha

about time wink.gif 1-3 weeks for availability. amazon is always very conservative about this, so expect them to have it sooner.

shouldn't take long until its locally available.

Unfortunately it's a hot and loud card (which is disappointing considering how XFX used to make really good cards) sweat.gif

On an unrelated note - it looks like the Red Devil has a new competitor? (MSI's 5700 XT Gaming X)

I think undervolting will improve it. Check TPU voltage frequency analysis.
Thicc 2 spent most time at 1.2v compare to others hence higher temp, power consumption and noise.

Is the Sapphire 5700 Pulse a good buy between the 1660 TI and 2070?

Just to share some experience for those wanting to mod their Rx 5700 xt reference card with AIO using kraken g12:-
-AMD bracket that came with kraken g12 have an offset around 1mm for the holes. It would not fit perfectly unless being forced with screw or cut in half.
-VRM temperature is good even w/o heatsink. I had mine around 70c in H210i casing.
-VRAM temperature is terrible w/o heatsink. I saw mine reached 96c. Low profile Heatsink is needed if u wish to install it on your ram. 4x 5mm height, 2x 4mm heigth(for 2 vram facing side panel). Else it wont fit due to close proximity to AIO cold plate.
-flatness of the AIO cold plate plays significant role, i saw the delta between Edge temp and Junction temp not more than 7c apart with proper mounting.

My gpu can barely breath with this casing. Prior to this i've used reference Rx 5700 xt, but the temperature is quite bad unless i undervolt it to 1050mv and 1850mhz target clock but still need to have the fan run @2600rpm for decent temp (80s edge, 100s junction)

Any >200w GPUs will have thermal performance issue with setup like this imo.

I somehow manage to make it work. Since there is quite few ventilation holes on the psu shroud, i changed my psu to SFX psu just to make the gap between shroud and psu bigger for ventilation.

Also added 2 hard foam acting as gpu support. Picture for reference. Now temp is in the lower 70s for edge, while junction temp around 95~100c. GPU clock stays around ~2030mhz.
