i bought a msi armor rx 570 4gb for 1/4 the price during it's height, from a miner, yesterday.
82.9% asic means i could overclock it to 1400Mhz and undervolt to 1020mV. stock was 1150mV because stock oc version.
i had a sapphire pulse rx560 previously and it was 56% asic. 1400 required 1110mV and it runs hot at that because crap hsf.
i didn't even bother putting it in my seasonic psu machine and just use fsp hexa 400w with 6pin power. the card has 8pin power.
gpuz says it's pulling 120W. didn't test with my watt meter yet.
samsung ram means i can oc from 1750MHz all the way to 2200MHz. based. 2250 definitely crashed.

the thing is. i only played ffxii in the last 12 months. can't get max settings at 60fps. needs ao down to 1/2 res, aa off, fxaa post aa, shadow mid.
my 1060 3gb can with msaa 4x, everything max and 75% gpu load.
the city state of square enix. reeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

if it's new, it's decently priced.
580 8gb used can be found for 699 at the lowest.

6pin is optional.
I suggest undervolting.
Lots of voltage overhead.
Bought my r5 2600 for rm630 in aug. Price 8ncreased.

the thing is, i've checked all the 3200 cl16 rams. they're all running at 1.35v might as well overclock it myself.
i don't think paying extra rm60-70 per stick is worth it.

get this and overclock for cheapest. i bought this, and will probably buy it again if i'm building today. oc it myself.

the bottom most link is rated 3200 cl16.

mine can reach 3200. but i left it at 2866 because wanna save a watt of electricity at 1.2V.

just eyeballing the curve, i'm not gonna measure the slope, the rx590 peak efficiency is between 1450 to 1500MHz when undervolted.

and the gigabutt 580 peak efficiency at 1300. it is probably not the best asic quality.
if i have to guess, around 65% asic.

better wait™ for navi.

actually, amd have a lot of oc headroom because they ship everything with ridiculously high voltage.
rx590 goes to 1650MHz.
my rx570 goes to 1450MHz, probably more. this is from 1270MHz max boost.

980ti is faster than 1060 6gb but slower than 1070.

if i want to buy a 980ti i would only pay rm500 max. even that i don't want it.

vega, polaris and the 14nm low power plus does not like clock speed.
undervolt at 1.4GHz and you will get peak efficiency.

i can't believe people are defending a 28nm housefire overcocked 980ti. in dec 2018.
at least with vega you have the option to undervolt and save 30% power.
it has ridiculously voltage overhead.

as for rm500 980ti, sounds about right. 1070 is already rm950.
if you price it rm700, might as well go 1070, which you can oc yourself get a 16nm chip and soon to be gimped drivers.
980ti is just junk and not worth buying today.
